[1.7.10] Remain in Motion - Continuation of Redstone in Motion
NightKev replied to planetguy's topic in Modders Metropolis
Why does it matter? jakj didn't prevent you from making a pack on/using the FTB launcher with RiM in it and planetguy won't either since he kept the license the same. -

Iirc it's because cc turtles don't call the necessary "block break" method(s) that players do when breaking blocks, so it intentionally doesn't drop the block to prevent bugs. Something like that, anyway. CC would have to change for this to be fixed. -

You'll have to use a different motor/engine (template probably) that grabs the blocks in a different way such that it will ignore the bedrock. -

irc.esper.net #openframes is where you'll find them. -
[1.6.x/1.5.x] Redstone In Motion (Redpower Frames) 2.3.0.0 (October 8)
NightKev replied to jakj's topic in Modders Metropolis
Apparently some other people are working on a fork as well in irc.esper.net/openframes -
New theme = much good New board software = much bad This is all I have to say about this. Edit: Now that I can see postcounts, wow I have 511 posts; it doesn't feel like I've posted nearly that much.

Well you didn't actually read the thread then, because it clearly says: Emphasis mine. -
That's the whole point of the GUI, otherwise why even bother with it if it doesn't actually do anything...?

Look, that's a Block ID conflict, you need to look up how to fix those, but here's the short answer: change the block ID in the RIM config file to something not used by another block from any other mod. -

Known issue, he's working on it. jakj, you should direct people to use the github for issues instead of this thread; it could use some, uh, use, other than as an un-updated wiki . -

Remember also that doors have two block IDs. -
There's not a special version of optifine, just get the one from the optifine thread. You have to have the power gauntlet selected to cycle through its modes. Also check to make sure the key config for that action is set correctly. Btw, that problem is not similar at all to the one posted before you, in any way....

List of good places to host your modpack file
NightKev replied to FatsackTony's topic in Platform Pagoda
I don't think you can get direct download links from mediafire, but if you can then yeah it would probably work fine. -

Last time someone suggested wireless peripherals*. Meant to quote the one post earlier but I failed. -

Iirc, last time someone suggested that they said "no way, never". It's possible their position has changed after some months, I suppose, but not likely. -

You're very modest I see, BBoldt. -

Well, from the snapshot you can spawn in items via naming them as, for example, "minecraft:stone", so mod authors will probably be forced to have a prefix of some sort for their mod, even if it can be omitted in the case of unique items... hopefully, anyway. -

Github does everything! Well... pretty much, actually. You can host a website on github too using the "gh-pages" feature to have a website pull from a repo you maintain. There are quite a lot of nice features on Github. -

@Caelum - Wikia is not part of Wikimedia, it is an independent entity that uses the free mediawiki software for its business of hosting "free" ad-laden wikis. -

Well, you can use Github as a basic wiki if you don't need anything fancy. There's wikispaces, but I don't know if they're any good. -

Items spilling out wouldn't usually crash the server (unless you're getting OoM errors?), just cause the client to disconnect after a short time. -

Half of those people are probably using it wrong, and the other half are using outdated versions. That's pretty much how it goes. -

The only way you'll beat me is if you update the list before posting a new version to the thread! :P
