Need Help

Hello, I had just gotten the launcher a few days ago and it was getting late so I turned my computer off. The next day I had to re-install the launcher, the mods, and I had to make a new world. I was wondering how I can save the world, not have to reinstall the mod-packs, and keep the launcher on my desktop?

What problem are you having?

Just drag the launcher icon to the desktop.

Copy the world file from %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> modpacks -> [your modpack name] -> save and paste it somewhere else to keep it as backup in case your world somehow got corrupted.

When I loaded the launcher up. It didn't give me a icon to drag.

The file that you downloaded from here -> http://www.technicpack.net/download. That's the "icon". Drag it to desktop

Ok, I tried and it didn't work. I have the world saved, but no launcher.

You downloaded a file from this very website, correct? Where did you store that file?

Yes. And the .technic file is on my desktop.

Let's go over this again. You clicked the link I provided and you clicked on the windows button, I assume you have windows as OS, and a pop-up window asked if you wanted to download a TechnicLauncher.exe

 

That's the file. TechnicLauncher.exe

Not .(dot)technic

that's just a folder, not the actual installer
