Has any tried installing a shaders mod?

Just curious, I have seen a few screenshots and videos of a shader mod in use and I have to say it makes the game look incredible. I was wondering if anyone tried to install one on a tekkit pack and if so what are your results with it?

optifine runs beautifully for me but I have yet to get a shader pack to work, I am using a few more mods then the base tekkit, so I thought it was only me. the GLSL SHADERS crashes my client every time and from what I have read it is buggy as all hell. I just gave up trying. would love to get something to work though
