Etian Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 (edited) Hi every one, (sorry if my english is bad) so I wanted to create my own modpack to play with friends, bu I have an issue with the downloading of the modpack : I created it following this youtube tutorial /watch?v=WkwzWX9_nbM and I uploaded it to dropbox first, and then to ubuntu and I created the modpack on the technic website. But when I try to download it on the technic launcher I got this message Error downloading file for the following pack : Etian's ModPack failed to download [dropbox/ubuntu link here] Please consult the ModPack author so here is the console log : [b#431] Analytics Response [installModpack]: 200 [b#431] Starting download of https://files.one.ubuntu.com/ID7cOdUzT_yGOzJX78zW8A, with 3 tries remaining [b#431] Starting download of https://files.one.ubuntu.com/ID7cOdUzT_yGOzJX78zW8A, with 2 tries remaining [b#431] Starting download of https://files.one.ubuntu.com/ID7cOdUzT_yGOzJX78zW8A, with 1 tries remaining (sorry for the links) And there is the modpack : http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/etians-modpack.295246 I guess this if because of the download link, but I really need some help please Edited March 6, 2014 by Etian

Etian Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Oh, ok sorry, I'm new here I added it it the main message thx for helping btw
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted March 6, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 The pack download URL you have set in your pack settings seems to point at a file that requires you to log in to retreive. You need a direct, public download in order for the launcher to accept it when starting.
Etian Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Ok thx a lot ! and which hosting website do you advise me ?
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted March 6, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Lots of folks are gravitating towards copy.com. Not used it myself, but it is supposedly nice.
