Trapped on the Moon!!!!

If you die on the moon how do you get back to the overworld? I got stuck in a cobweb after falling into a dungeon and just got swarmed by mobs and now it keeps spawning me on the surface of the moon like I'm gonna have what I need to survive.

Is that really the only way to do it? I'm glad i enabled cheating then. But that seems stupid.

Unfortunately yes, if you haven't set a spawn on the moon and built a moonbase where you can kit up with backup items after dying it's essentially game-over if you're stuck in a death loop trying to run from the default spawnpoint.

 

If you're in multiplayer, someone could run out to you with gear, but that's about it (other than cheating).
