I am his brother and tried to do this, but the game simply won't work. It runs without a problem on my Windows 8. Could the Windows 7 Operating System be a conflict? Other than that I don't know the problem

If you've done that then it should give you a new log, there may be something else wrong now or it may not have worked properly - either way, can you post that log up on the tracker please so I can give it a proper look?

 

Win7 is not a problem, it's entirely capable of running Java 1.7 (even Windows XP is fine, but I wouldn't go much further back than that).  Win8 is not significantly different in the way it uses Java.
