Melancholy Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Basically, I can't figure out a way of using a routed request pipe wirelessly from other parts of the world/dimensions. Does anybody know if it is it possible to use the tesseract or something else to allow the access of a chest system wirelessly. Any ideas? I've pretty much run out. (Using this system to allow people to store items in one location and allow everybody to access it)
wabajck Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 You may be able to use tesseracts to make the system wireless. Have you tested this out in creative yet?
Melancholy Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) Yeah, I can't get the tesseract to interact with the project red pipes for some reason. The routed interface pipes connect to the tesseract but refuse the take in items. Connecting the request pipe to the tesseract does absolutely nothing so... idk. It could be something I'm doing wrong though, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to allow the tesseract to become part of the chest system. EDIT: Ok, so there was another post which basically said that project red broadcaster chips can't interact with the tesseract so... That's not going to work. Is there anything else that can send/receive wirelessly? Edited March 25, 2014 by Melancholy
dlepi24 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I have found that the cursor from openblocks may help this. The cursor lets you take an action such as opening a chest, ringing a doorbell, pressing a button, etc, and allows you to do it anywhere in the world in exchange for xp. It's kind of buggy and haven't figured it all out. Basically, what I've found is you shift click the "action" you want to do (shift+right click a chest) and then right click the cursor and it allows you to access the chest. I don't think it's your best option, however, it may suffice for now. Hope that helps maybe lol.
dlepi24 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Just thinking about this makes me wonder if you could use the cursor on the routed request pipe. Then, using hoppers and that player interface/inventory thing generikb had in one of his videos, you could request an item with the cursor and have it pop out into a hopper into the player interface, therefore putting the item(s) in your inventory maybe?
