stooj Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Hi. I run a bunch of classes for school kids using the technic platform and various mods. I've just found out that the internet at the school will be disconnected during our classes and may not reappear for a while I think we'll be able to cache the technic downloads, but authentication will be another issue. Is there a way to run servers and clients in an offline mode, that doesn't break EULAs? I promise we have licences for every player, and they will authenticate in the morning when we still have comms, but if any of the machines crash (which is likely), we won't be able to authenticate again. Many thanks Stoo Quote
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted April 3, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted April 3, 2014 Once the client is authenticated once it should be "cached" and allow you to play offline (or so I've heard before). The server is easy to simply put in "offline" mode from server.properties. Quote
mrkirby173 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Correct me if I'm wrong but if the computers aren't connected to the internet, the only servers you can play on are locally hosted ones. If your internet is going to be cut off to external IP's like Google but you can connect to internal ips then you can still play on a server hosted on the netwowk Quote
