I need a tutorial for applied energetics

So recently I have tried using the auto smelting feature for this mod, well most tutorials are outdated and are for different mod packs that use different items not in voltz to do so.  Can someone explain to me how auto smelting can be done? I know how you have to encode the recipe for it but that's it.
