Can't login

It has been a long time since i left minecraft. 

i wanna to know why i can't login to the latest Technic launcher. ( version 4XX )

is it not free anymore which means i can't login with any username and password like the old version?

sorry for being a noob.

also i wanna to ask if i need a premium minecraft account to start the launcher ?

(I think this might be in the wrong place, but here goes).

 

Yes, the launcher requires that you have a valid account for a purchased version of Minecraft in order to log in. You log in with that account, not your account for these forums.
