cant add a file to my mods

I'm not sure this is the right place for that question though - what are you trying to achieve?  Is it related to the B-Team modpack somehow?

Sounds like something went wrong with the update, that's not normal behaviour at all.

 

First I'd try resetting the modpack - click the little cog on the left (under the b-team icon) and you'll get that option.  Start there.

 

If that doesn't fix it after applying the update again, please post on the tracker in more detail - links and help about how to do that are in my sig.
