vesperdem Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) From what I have been able to determine from what little I can find about the Liquid XP Mod, all I need to do is place the bottler next to the tank and tell it where to "Drink" from and it should be able to access the XP in the tank. However, all it seems to see are the two chests to either side of it. From above my layout is something like this: TTT CBC Where T is the XP tank blocks, C are chest blocks and B is the XP Bottler. Am I missing something here? The LXP Absorber worked flawlessly, but now I have nearly 50 levels in tank blocks that I would like to be able to bottle for future use. Side question: Is there a centralized location for information about all the mods in Attack of the B-Team similar to the Gamepedia Minecraft Wiki? I am having small problems with just about every mod in this modpack and would love to be able to research my questions. Thanks! *signed name stolen by wild Mankey!* Edited May 2, 2014 by Munaus
Turgle Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) Would you be able to attach some screenshots to give us a better idea of what your setup is like? You can use imgur.com to freely host your images. Also, what tanks are you using? Does it say which kind of Liquid XP it is? OpenBlocks XP is different to the Liquid XP Mod's XP. I should be able to help if I know what kind of XP you need vs what kind you have EDIT: From what I have seen, the XP Bottler (from OpenBlocks) works with Liquid XP from OpenBlocks, but not Liquid XP from the LXP Mod. This means that if your tanks are full of LXP XP then you will have to transform it into OpenBlocks XP. Trust me, it sounds worse than it is. I will upload screenshots in a minute. EDIT 2: Here's those screenshots. You want to be using the OpenBlocks XP, which is on the right. To get this you should use the XP Drain, from OpenBlocks. It attaches to a Tank as shown: However LXP Mod's XP can be converted to OpenBlocks fairly easily. All you need is an XP Shower from OpenBlocks, which can be attached to the Tank, what this will do is slowly drain the XP out of the Tank it is attached to, and turn it into the XP you get from killing a mob. If you place an XP Drain under it, it will put it in the Tank as OpenBlocks XP. EDIT 3: Never mind Edit 2, I assumed that LXP Mod was affected by the XP Shower just as MFR's Mob Essence is. Seems to me that the LXP XP is gonna be stuck like that unless you use it with other stuff from LXP. I personally don't understand why they didn't make both Liquid XP's the same liquid. Life would be so much easier. Edited May 2, 2014 by Turgle
vesperdem Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) So here is that screenshot of what I had been using... (If there is a way to shrink the image, I'm not seeing it...) Just imagine the XP Absorber to the left of the leftmost chest... Interestingly, When I placed a bunch more Tanks behind this setup (with an XP Collector block inbetween), and put the XP Drain on top, I got all the XP in my old tank plus what I had from additional caving all put into the new tank. The old tank still has the original 40+ XP levels, but now I have over 50 XP levels in the new tank. That tank is working perfectly. I'm currently creating a ton of Bottles O'Enchanting. I have an idea of how to destroy the old XP tanks, since I don't really want to take advantage of a bug of some sorts. I'm wondering if the XP Collector so how collected the XP in the tanks without actually removing the XP. I did try the shower thing. I wasn't able to get anything to happen with the shower. Even after placing a lever next to the shower head. Just out of curiosity, if I wanted to stay strictly with Liquid XP, what type of storage container should I be using? I don't see any in the NEI when I filter with '@mod.liquid'. Thanks a ton for your help! *signed name stolen by wild Mankey!* Edited May 2, 2014 by Munaus
Turgle Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Yeah I noticed the Shower wasn't working either, and the Tanks from OpenBlocks can store any liquids in them, but if you want you can also use the Thermal Expansion Tanks. I don't know if LXP has it's own liquid tank, but the others are still great ways. Personally I haven't used Liquid XP Mod before so that's why I'm confused about the 2 different forms of Liquid Experience not just being a single form that is universal within both mods.
