Okay so, I spent 50+ hours on this modpack called mizuxe and i has 103 mods. When I try to save my work for the modpack, I head over to 'edit' and change the 'modpack location'. Please be aware that yes, I did upload my file to dropbox, I did share the link and I did 'copy link address'

The modpack link did not have 'dropboxusercontent' in it.

Please help. :[

Without a link it's hard to look at the details

Well, I uploaded my modpack file to dropbox and this was the link I got:  (I did click 'share 'link' and I did click 'copy link address' on the big blue download button.

https://www.dropbox.com/meta_dl/eyJzdWJfcGF0aCI6ICIiLCAidGVzdF9saW5rIjogZmFsc2UsICJzZXJ2ZXIiOiAiZGwuZHJvcGJveHVzZXJjb250ZW50LmNvbSIsICJpdGVtX2lkIjogbnVsbCwgImlzX2RpciI6IGZhbHNlLCAidGtleSI6ICJ3NGltMTY3NXd1ZnB6cnoifQ/AALZs5-dkFHXTId-CO7L_R7NdtTO44rRb9SM0JqP1lyhnA?dl=1

As you can see, no 'dropboxusercontent' in it like what others are getting...

You haven't actually said what the problem is. What isn't working or acting as you expect?

Please provide an API URL or a link to your Technic Pack page. This will help diagnose problems with your pack settings as well as the contents of the pack itself. Speaking of which:

  • You have zipped up the ENTIRE contents of the modpack folder. This is bad for so many reasons, not the least of which is that it makes the modpack archive needlessly huge. Your pack should only contain the bin, config, and mods folders. Additionally, the bin folder should ONLY contain modpack.jar. Delete all the other files inside the bin folder.
  • You have so many item ID conflicts that many of the mods simply will not function as expected. All of these need resolved. Search your ForgeModLoader client log for the word "CONFLICT" (without quotes).

I have taken in consideration of your tips with the file size, however, the problem remains.

So, the main problem is, when I try to save my modpack and put it in the 'modpack location' under 'edit' for the modpack, the save works but the download from the launcher doesn't. It says: error downloading file  https://www.dropbox.com/meta_dl/eyJzdWJfcGF0aCI6ICIiLCAidGVzdF9saW5rIjogZmFsc2UsICJzZXJ2ZXIiOiAiZGwuZHJvcGJveHVzZXJjb250ZW50LmNvbSIsICJpdGVtX2lkIjogbnVsbCwgImlzX2RpciI6IGZhbHNlLCAidGtleSI6ICJ3NGltMTY3NXd1ZnB6cnoifQ/AALZs5-dkFHXTId-CO7L_R7NdtTO44rRb9SM0JqP1lyhnA?dl=1

Yes, that's the link address for my modpack file, and downloading it from the web works, just not on the launcher.

The modpack url is: http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/mizuxe

As stated in a sticky post by GenPage at the top of this forum, dropbox recently changed how their links are constructed for public URLs and they are too long to fit in the field for the modpack URL. They are working on a fix, but if you want it to work in the meantime you will need to use a different hosting service. copy.com works quite well. For them, simply add "?download=1" to the end of any public share URL (without quotes).
