KR1dude Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Hey, again. I'm creating my modpack and I would like to use a modified minecraft.jar that uses FPS Plus+, Optileaves, and other performace-enhancing mods that directly modify the forge jar. I've tried to name the jar minecraft.jar and make the launcher download that instead of downloading the normal minecraft.jar. Is there an option to do this? Thanks for reading.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted June 11, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted June 11, 2014 After looking through the author's posts on Optileaves it might be possible to put it into the modpack.jar and still have everything work as expected. The others will take similar research. Work through the author's posts and mod info to find out.
KR1dude Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 I just looked through both FPS Plus and OptiLeaves. It looks like it can only be put into the Forge.jar folder. They modify parts of Forge itself for rendering and extra performance.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted June 11, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted June 11, 2014 That's just it. The modpack.jar file is simply the Forge universal jar renamed to "modpack.jar". In theory one could make the changes to that file and it would work. Maybe. Experimentation will tell.
