0 DHBM Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 you need java 7 http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-se-jdk-7-download-432154.html Quote
0 jakj Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Plus you don't need 32-bit installed if you have 64-bit installed, unless you have a shitty web-browser (in which case, get a better one). Quote

There's no harm in having 32 installed as well as 64 bit. Most people do. You DO need up to date java however, as outlined in the common problems and solutions thread. Quote

The harm comes from very dim users who don't understand what an environment variable is, nor how to change one, to make sure it's using the right version. Quote
0 PoLoMoTo Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 you need java 7 http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-se-jdk-7-download-432154.html Ok, thanks, I thought that was only a dev build and wasn't out yet. I do need to have 32-bit installed also because I have a 32-bit java program that needs it. And I have modified the environment variables for some other programs. Quote
0 jagged203 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I have the same problem. I installed both java 7 64 and 32, and the jdk 64 bit. Nothing is working. I know my system uses 64 bit. After downloading jdk it said you already have a newer version installed. I don't know what to do Quote
0 PoLoMoTo Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Nope just tried it, still nothing. I run it on my other computer with java 6 anyway Quote
0 PoLoMoTo Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Well I just forced the launcher to open, I'll see if it fixed the problem. Quote
0 PoLoMoTo Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Nope, I can get in by opening the .jar in the launcher folder but the exe doesn't work, could be my environment variable but i doubt it. Quote
