Here is the link to my latest attempt. https://www.dropbox.com/s/suvtdyogsexr7zj/modpack.zip Please make sure you send me the dropbox link so i can put my pack out thank you. and please be sure that it is in your public folder.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted July 19, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted July 19, 2014 The contents of your modpack archive are in a subfolder called "modpack". All required folders (bin, config, mods) must be at the top level of the folder structure inside your modpack archive. Your binmodpack.jar file is in RAR format. All archives intended for use by the platform must be in ZIP format. Your binmodpack.jar file is the Forge installer. The modpack.jar file is simply the Forge universal binary JAR file renamed to be "modpack.jar". Don't extract it. Don't change its format. Forge/MC 1.6.4 does not use a coremods folder in any way. All mods belong inside the mods folder. You have no config files in your modpack. The config files get created automatically the first time the mods get injected into Forge/MC. Once you have your pack working locally you will have a full config folder. Include this in your modpack archive.
glaedr1500 Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 will i be able to include a folder called Flan for my Flans mod content packs?
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted July 20, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted July 20, 2014 Yes. The folder should be named "Flan" (note the capital F)

Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted July 22, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted July 22, 2014 (edited) The contents of your modpack are still inside a subfolder. Both previous points about your modpack.jar file have not been fixed. Many of your mods are absolutely ancient. You need to go through and update the outdated mods. You have a staggering number of item ID conflicts. Check your ForgeModLoader-client-0.log. If you aren't going to fix/address all the issues I clearly point out why are you asking for more help? edit: You really don't want to be including a world save in your modpack archive. Provide it as a separate download. The zip file in your resourcepacks folder is not a valid resourcepack. Edited July 22, 2014 by plowmanplow
glaedr1500 Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 sorry i'm new to the whole making modpacks thing so your previous instructions were just a little giberish to me
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted July 23, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted July 23, 2014 I'm really not trying to pick on you. It's just that when you have such critical issues and ask for other assistance before addressing those issues I can't really suggest anything because any additional fixes/changes have to be predicated on the original issues being resolved first.
