Phased conductive pipes

Have they changed them so you can only send power over a certain distance? I'm having an issue pumping oil. I'm powering from a power station of 6 combustions. The frequencys are correct. I set a water pump up closer to my station and it powered fine. I'm so confused

There is no range limitation or check. As long as both ends/chunks are loaded it will work.
