So, umm, can anyone give me an updated starting guide of the new guide? Or Link me to a website or something.

I recommend looking at Curunir's starting guide, here is the link if you are to lazy to look for it in the forums:

This is by far the best starter guide you will find. I recommend following this guide as it helps you get started right away. I decided to start a new world to test the beta version, i followed his guide exactly, and i had a redstone energy cell fully chargered in my first 2.5 hours.
