  1. Yall are so complicated. I would just use a bucket of that fluid and pretend im making a water fountain in vanilla Minecraft. That's the showcasing part at least. If you want to mass store it then ExtraCells would work. Maybe you could make the fountain using that bucket of liquid, say fuel, and have an ME Fluid Access Terminal at the base of the Fountain that contains just fuel. Like wise for Oil, Liquid Ender, etc. Or you could have all of the liquids in that one me system and access them at once if you are to low on resources. Please send pics id love to see how it turns up
  2. Might be a possible keybind issue, maybe, possible.... I have never heard of this issue happening in solo. Check your keybinds, what to look for, I cant help there. If you don't see anything unusual and you have tried changing it around a little (dont go crazy) create a copy of that world and save it on a flashdrive (just incase) and unplug the flashdrive and reinstall Tekkit. If it works then just move the world save into the game files. If it doesn't, then I honestly have no idea.
  3. Yes TE Fluiducts are not ideal for this situation. You might want to try using ExtraUtilities TransferNodes with several interaction upgrades in a couple of the nodes, then for actually sending the steam to the turbine you might want to use Tesseracts
  4. Well there are several ways to achieve your goal. You can use Itemducts with a pneumatic servo at the sending end of the pipe system (beside the chest). You can also use an Export Bus if you have a basic ME System up from Applied Energistics. You can try messing with the pipes from ExtraUtilities. The Itemducts and ExtraUtilities pipes are probably the best route for you as it seems you are just starting out and have few resources. The Itemduct route is typically the choice for most people, but you need to check the itemduct system every now and then as if you put several stacks of coal in the chest at once, it will more than likely clog the system and stop it from working. Hope this helps
  5. Very nice base, I am impressed. You have a very nice energy output from your turbines especially with the reactors only using 1 milibucket per tick. Now how many reactors and how many turbines do you have? Im guessing they are the same design if you have multiple reactors and turbines.
  6. Ah thanks for that. Direwolf seems to cover EVERYTHING.
  7. You can make, and please excuse my spelling, pnuematic servos, they require 2 iron, 2 redstone, and 1 glass, and with servo in hand I believe you right-click on the end of an itemduct (where it connects to a chest) and it will allow a variety of options such as disabling redstone signal so you don't have to use levers, and you can also whitelist/blacklist items so, just for you, you can choose which items get pulled out of that chest or get sent into that chest. Whitelist mode means only that item can go into that chest, Blacklist mode means only that item can NOT go in there. So say if you have a tree farm, you want ONLY wood going into the chest, you can either Whitelist that type of wood OR you can blacklist saplings and apples if they are droppable from that tree. I hope you understand what im saying? Good luck!
  8. Ummmmmmm.... what? Anyone have any tutorials for this for me? This is worth looking into....
  9. Wow........ you all are so advanced...... I just use an ME system since they added ExtraCells to Tekkit.... lol only 4 blocks with so much more storage available. Of course it may be a little bit more resource costly but not to much of a problem if you have a Quarry and 1 or 2 MFR Laser Drill systems.
  10. I agree. Curunir's guide should have what you are looking for, plus more. Read through the whole thing, you'll be surprised what you will learn from that guide.
  11. Do you have an estimated date of when Tekki 1.2.10? So far everything has been working great. No problems yet...... yet.....
  12. Im learning more and more every day
  13. Thermal Expansion has improved about its variety in the Redstone Furnace and Pulverizer and other machines. In the latest updates for newer minecraft versions, Thermal Expansion has added new customization to it. You can make furnaces smelt faster, but use more energy, or the other way around. As Thermal Expansion continues to update then surely one day it will have the same funness as IC2 has
  14. I recommend using BuildCraft pipes ( *Material* Transport Pipe) which uses only glass and a few ingots. You will need: 1 Diamond Pipe (Sorts), 1 void pipe (destroys and items going into it) and some Golden Transport Pipes (you can use cobblestone if you are low on resources). Have 1 golden pipe coming out of the quarry into a Diamond Pipe. Have the void pipe on one side of the diamond pipe and configure the diamond pipe to transport any unwanted materials into the void pipe. Everything else should go into another row of transport pipe into your chest system. Eventually once you get used to Tekkit, you will end up using just a Chest on top of the quarry and connect the chest with an ME Basic Import Bus into your ME System. That mod is called Applied Energistics if you are interested, includes mass storage and autocrafting at the click of your mouse! Anyways good luck with your explorations of Tekkit! Dont be afraid to ask questions!
  15. Make sure when you are building the Powered Furnace (Its powered in Thermal Expansion 1.5.2, Electric Furnace in 1.6.4 I THINK or its the other way around) and Pulverizer that you are using the right Coils, IE some coils are made with gold, others silver, some electrum. Just be sure you are paying CLOSE attention to the ingrediants. I know I have done the same exact thing before. Are you testing BigDig 1.6.4 or are you on the still recommended version of 1.5.2?
  16. I quickly scanned through and saw something about Thaumcraft. I dont remember Thaumcraft being in BigDig orignally. Did you add that mod to BigDig yourself or was it already a part of the BigDig modpack?
  17. Compared to how overpowered EE2 was, and taking into account the fun of actually having to look for things instead of using nothing but dirt and cobble, you might as well play in creative if you want EE2 back.
  18. I would first try to re-install the whole BigDig modpack itself. If that doesn't work then please try to post the report.
  19. Thats exactly how i make my reactors. Its like you read my mind......
  20. The current reactor I use is a 9 by 9 by 9 Reactor using, guess what, 9 fuel rod columns each evenly spaced between eachother (1 block gap inbetween each column so you should have 3 rows of 3) and I don't mess with the control rod settings, keep them at 0%. I use Destablized Redstone as my coolant (placed in the gaps between columns). It has a power output of 26,400 RF/t and goes through fuel pretty fast. If you use Water or Air instead then im sure you'll be eating through fuel. I left my reactor running and went to go do something for 15-30 mins and came back to 26 cyanite produced. So not only can you use this to power your base until you get the turbines and fusion reactors up, but you'll also be able to get the cyanite pretty dag on fast. Hope you find this useful!
  21. After reading all of these, I can't but help to feel that my 9 by 9 by 9 reactor design is the most efficient. At a solid 26,000 RF/t, and using only Destablized Redstone? I've done some testing before the beta and learned that at this size, resonant ender produces more RF/t than Destablized Redstone. I only tested this with half fuel inside the reactor. I max out my fuel this time in the Destabilzed Redstone 9 by 9 by 9 and i get over 26,000 RF/t. Just think of how much power might be produced if i used, say, Gelid Cryotheum. And this is all relatively cheap to make. I will definitely try reshaping the Fuel Rods and try different liquids cooling it, but i believe that this is probably one of the better routes to go until you get the tree farms set up and able to make Turbines (believe me this thing goes produces waste pretty dag on fast). I will keep yall posted on how it goes.
  22. That is basically what I use. Except my Yellorium reactors are a bit different. I use a 9 by 9 by 9 Reactor with 1 block spacing inbetween the fuel rods. And just cuz i didn't feel like making plenty of enderpears or cryotheum, i used Destablized Redstone. 12 buckets to be exact. Outputs a solid 26.4k RF/t. I don't ever mess with the control rod settings. I should look into that. But my reactor would be ALOT more efficient if I used Liquid Ender or Cryotheum...... Testing will be done......
  23. Actually transfering energy between Tesseracts take a 20% loss. Fluid/Item transporting take no loss. So i recommend not really using tesserats if you aren't making over 12k RF/t #Yellorium Reactor
  24. Hello Tekkiteers. Let me first start this off with a question. When you first started playing Tekkit 1.6.4 and you were used to Tekkit 1.5.2 or you have never played Tekkit before, did you have trouble with power to start off with? Im sure atleast half of you have. So, im dedicating this thread to showing off your methods and designs of power generation. This is also to help the new Tekkit players find a few easy power generation methods early game so they can hurry on and get on with their Minecraft lives. So wether its beginning, cheap, simple power generation; or if its end game, complicated, resource demanding power generation (COUGH COUGH Curunirs "The Core" design) please post it on here using pics, elaborate drawings using letters and numbers, or a very detailed description. Be sure to TRY to include: amount of power being generated; resource cost; what your intentions are for it (ie. powering your base lights; ME Network powering; ore doubling factory powering; MFR Laser drill powering etc.) and if you recommend trying to build it (COUGH COUGH Curunirs "The Core" design again). So guys and gals, Tekkiteers alike, show off your power generation methods! Be proud! And please don't be shy, dont make me feel like an idiot for starting this thread for nothing..... pwease?
