Well that depends. Exactly how large is your turbine farm going to be? One Chunk Loader from ChickenChunks (i think thats the mod name, could be wrong. Just search for Chunk Loader in NEI) once configured can keep up to 361 chunks loaded at once. I hope your turbine farm wont be THAT big..... if it is....... dang thats a lot of resources......... Edit: The mod name is ChickenChunks. The Chunk Loader recipe i am talking about consists of gold, enderpearls, and an enchantment table.

I recommend following this guide as it helps you get started right away. I decided to start a new world to test the beta version, i followed his guide exactly, and i had a redstone energy cell fully chargered in my first 2.5 hours. Have fun!

Hmmmmmm never heard of this problem before. Try uninstalling then reinstalling BigDig and see if that works. If not then im afraid I can't help you

Just as Curunir said, be sure you are downloading the 1.6.4 version of Mekanism. You put a 1.7.10 version of mekanism (which i didnt know was out) into a mods folder for Minecraft version 1.6.4. Try the 1.6.4 version of Mekanism and see if that works. And dont forget to remove the 1.7.10 version out of the mods folder!

Wow. This needs to become a "Must Read If Beginner" because, and all honestly, this is a great guide. You were very detailed, very specific, yet you make it to where the reader must still look up stuff in-game. The way you have set up everything is user friendly so they can skip to different parts. You even leave in a few routes incase the reader does not want to do it specifically. I even learned a thing or two from this myself and ive played tekkit for about 6 months now (im a fast learner.... mostly). Overall this is the best starter guide anyone will ever find about Tekkit. I know in other modpacks that EE3 will allow you to transmute dirt into grass blocks, however I believe it is not in this modpack.... as are maaaaaaaaaaany other transmutations. What i recommend doing if you don't feel like getting silk touch is to make a HUGE line of dirt touching your grass block and your sheep pen. IE: G= Grass block P= Sheep Pen D= Dirt G D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D D P Slowly bu surely the grass will grow. Add torches along the way and keep chunks loaded so it will load faster and during the night. Goodluck! ALSO Be sure to add a few extra rings of dirt/grass around/outside of the pen JUST in case the sheep get to hungry!

I ran into the same problem. Luckily, i used AppliedEnergistics to make my ore processing fully automatic. Just hook up an ME Precision Export Bus to a block placer and have all of the project red ores into the Export bus. Then have a one block space for the ore to be placed. Then place a block breaker adjacent to the ore and have an ME Basic Import Bus hooked onto that so all of the ores are put in. You can do the same with buildcraft wooden, gold, and diamond pipes. I prefer AppliedEnergistics as it is MUCH faster. Oh and quick reminder, be sure to visit that area every now and then to collect that Experiance! Oh (again) The Block Placer and Block Breaker are in the MineFactoryReloaded (MFR) mod.

If you are having trouble logging into servers, first keep refreshing the page and joining. After bout 5 mins of doing this and you have no good luck, then check to see how your connection is. Your connection can be the key to life or death, or for those of you who don't understand that, the key to connecting to the server or never connecting to the server. Anything more than that is beyond my knowledge. Oh and make sure the Authentication Servers aren't down either, Ive noticed lately that they have been going down more and more often. Whatever the reason, go onto vanilla minecraft and spam the refresh button on your Multiplayer Server list thingy (im tired, ok? shush!) and compare the numbers on all of the servers. If the numbers keep dropping after 5 mins then more than likely the Authentication Servers are going down. Give it half an hour and try again. Goodluck! PompanoZombie

I agree. This would be a great mod to have put in Attack of the B-Team. Automated factories, mass storage, automated crafting, its all so wonderful. This is easily one of my favorite mods ever made. However of course certain issues would occur such as coding some items to be able to go into the ME System. Who knows, this is a science based modpack, and this is certainly science (comeon, fitting doublechests filled with cobble into 1 little storage space, that's amazing/sciency) maybe this will be added into the modpack. Hmm.... im not for sure. Make sure your server is set to allow all of the mods. Sometimes people may forget that...... Other than that I cant help, I cant set up a server, let alone portforward XD lol

If any of that doesn't work then delete Tekkit and re-install it. Hope your son can play again soon!

bochen415 has some pretty good goals for you to do. You can also try to make a FULLY automated smelting/ ore doubleing system using ME (or logistics pipes, but that's just confusing!). Make some MASSIVE storage using ME. Bring a moon man back to your house. Bring a villager to the moon..... then have him eaten. Make a space station and survive without oxygen tanks.

First, make sure you have a decent internet connection that can get you on the Internet. Then make sure you are using your EMAIL as your username. They recently changed it to where you have to use your email instead of your password. If that still doesn't work then make sure you are typing in EVERYTHING correctly. If that STILL doesn't work (lol) then wait a while and try again in like an hour. If you still cant connect then try going somewhere that has a better WiFi signal.

Hello everyone. I have been wanting to get into the Applied Energistics Mod a bit more. I already know the VERY basics, such as ME Drives and mass storage and all the such, but I have yet to start using the ME Cables to create networks and fully automated smelting systems (not just Buildcraft pipes, WAY too much tweaking involved) so if anyone could give me a tutorial or a YouTube link (seems like I just cant find what im looking for) then I would be very grateful. Hmmmm....... I don't know much about servers and all but I can share what I do know. First off make sure you have opened up your Port (port forwarding) Then make sure all of the mods are working together correctly. Other than that I have honestly no idea how technic servers work or anything. Lol I am basically a noob to servers. Im afraid that's all I know but maybe this somewhat helped you out ?
