I made a modpack the other day and now im trying to get Millenaire working with the Technic Launcher. When I Load the Millenaire Files into the /mods folder in my Dropbox, the Launcher downloads the Modpack, gets about 94% done unzipping, the says it Failed to Unzip Modpack; Please Consult the Mod Author. I Removed Millenaire from the modpack and it worked like a charm, but Millenaire is a mod that I Really want in the pack. Ive Zipped the Content Folders (That Failed), Ive Switched Millenaire5.1.3 to a .JAR format (That Also Failed), Ive Moved the Content Folders into the Root Directory of the Modpack Zip (Again, that Failed), I just cant figure this out. 7Zip Works and unzips it, But however the Launcher unzips its Modpacks dosnt agree with a file in Millenaire. Someone Help!

(Also, Tell me if this is in the wrong place; the forum said 'Technic Disscusion' and i assumed it ment the Launcher)

Try removing Millenaire, download the latest version of the mod from the author for your version of Forge/MC and re-add it to the pack. This happens all the time. Sometimes reinstalling Millenaire fixes things.

Yes, Removing Millenaire does allow the Modpack to unzip properly, But as far a Google can say, Im Using the Newest Release for the Modpacks Minecraft Version. I did Re-Install Millenaire with no luck. If you can find a Newer 1.5.2 Version of the Mod, Besides Millenaire 5.1.3, then please link me to it. 5.1.3 is the Newest Googe, The Millenaire Website, and The Minecraft Forums say.

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem as you.
The problem is the two folders that are necessarily installed in the mod directory (millenaire and millenaire-custom), technic launcher don't like them.
In my case, i've also a ressource directory from ruins mod, and it's exactly the same problem.
If you find a solution, I'm interested.
And if I find it, I'll help too.

PS: Sorry for my English, I do for my best

  • Your ZIP archive is broken and won't even extract manually using WinZip 14. The file that is causing the error is "aether_1.5.2_1.0.jar". Try re-creating the ZIP archive.
  • You should not be including the minecraft.jar file in your modpack.jar file (in the bin folder). It should be removed.
  • Without Aether mod for 1.5.2 (since I can't seem to easily find a download for it) and with Millenaire v5.0.1 included in a new ZIP archive (which I used to replace your broken ZIP) the pack launches successfully.

On another note, what was your thought process for deciding to create a 1.5.2 pack. There are at least 1.6.4 versions of all of your included mods and most of of them have 1.7.2 or even 1.7.10 versions.

Ok, an old tutorial i saw said to put the minecraft.jar and modpack.jar in bin. Also, i know there are newer versions of basicly every mod, and i am considering to update. I'll Remove the aether and and use 5.0.1 of Millenaire. Thanks!

Also, love the Simpsons Reference on your picture. :D

Also, the reason its difficult to find the Aether is because the Aether Team Removed the download to it to make it compatible with Mojangs EULA.txt

#BlameMojang

Also, it was Either the Aether 1.5.2 or Aether b1.7.3

Technic isnt compatible with b1.7.3
