Trying to install server

Hi im currently trying to install the server but when i start it up im getting a hell of alot of errors. So hope someone is able to help me out here

Launcher/pack Version: Tekkit Server 2.1.1

Operating System: Vista 64bit

Version of Java: 7u4

Description of Problem:

Can´t make Tekkit server start up it keeps giving me problems running the mods

There we go made a edit on the post hope that helps but anyway yea im using java 7

you may find this interesting, mate

basically reinstall your java, make sure your using 64bit jre 7 if your comp & os are 64bit

its common issue and it has been stickied for a while..

why am i "so sure" that's your issue?

open your log, occasionally you get the message saying..

Caused by: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: net/minecraft/server/mod_IC2AdvancedMachines : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0

as in the name of the stickied tread

Just to make this more fun it's Java 7 (build 1.7.0_04-b20) x64 not the x32 if it's just bc of 64bit i would have solved it before posting on the forums.

you may have several versions of java installed, the log you uploaded didn't specify which java is being used

try a script such as..

"c:\program files\java\jre7\bin\java" -jar "C:\tekkit_server\tekkit.jar"

^ just an example ofc, but it allows you to specify which java your using

edit:

save it as a .bat file and double click to launch

edit2:

make sure you place it inside the folder where your server is located for it will place the configuration files same place it is located
