What is the benefit of updating LWJGL?

I have not updated, and my Technic pack runs reasonably well. What exactly is the point of updating the lwjgl? Is it a bugfix thing, or does it improve performance.

I did google this myself, but the only site that looked like it had an answer was blocked.

There is a bugfix or two. You know how sometimes it seems like a button has got stuck and you keep moving until you press it again? Updating should fix that. IIRC, there are a few others as well, but I'm not too sure what they are.
