Tekkit Launcher Mac problems

Hello everyone, 

 

I have recently downloaded the Technic Launcher from this website and I logged in, and then the mod-pack selector came up. I selected the mod I wanted (Tekkit Classic) and a new java window opened and nothing happened. I have left it for an hour now and nothing has happened. I have also tried opening Tekkit but the same thing happened. Does anyone know a fix? I am running OSX Yosemite (10.10) beta and no error message has come up for my java version etc.
