Wilfalcon Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Hi experts, My son has spent a heap of time making a 53 mod modpack and we're so close to getting it working we can taste it. We've uploaded it to my private server (where a previous test modpack was uploaded and worked). The modpack can be downloaded from http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/wilfalcon-full-modpack-test-0 When we try to run it in the technic launcher, it goes through the download process and just before the download bar gets to the end of wilfalcon, it resets to 0, then it gets to about halfway through full before reset to 0, then it gets to about the same place and we get the 'failed to download' error. My suspicion is that the zip file size is too large - but Will swears there are larger ones that work. The zip file is 160MB - is there a maximum size? This is our first go at it, so apologies if that question is laughable to more experienced modpackers. Any assistance gratefully appreciated.
Moderators Munaus Posted October 11, 2014 Moderators Posted October 11, 2014 post the log, so we can see what's happening logs can be found when clicking the Cog-Wheel button on the top right corner on the launcher window. If you can't open the launcher the logs can also be found inside %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> logs Paste the content on pastebin.com or paste.ubuntu.com and give the link.
Wilfalcon Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 Munaus, This might be premature (or it could be your Moderator Staff Mojo) but the thing has actually downloaded and compiled and whatever for the first time ever when we tried again to get a fresh log. There was a forge error which meant some of the mods haven't worked, and my son is telling me creating a new world is taking a while (minecraft is not responding at the moment), but for some reason we've got as far as we've ever got right now. We'll report back with a log if there's more to report.
