Hi Folks,

I want to cover an area with torch light in order that mobs won't spawn, but doesn't use too many torches.

My method will be blocks at the level about the players head, with a torch on each side.

So far, if a torch puts out light level 14 and the mobs can spawn at level 7 or below, I figure that the maximum gap between blocks is ten blocks clear? (eg. block, torch, clear, clear, clear, clear, clear, clear, clear, clear, torch, block) - given that this will be a grid pattern and there'll presumably be greater fall off in the diagonal gaps.

Have I got it right please, or should the gap be smaller?
