Forge alternatives

I am running a tekkit 3 server and i wanted to have something that was like forge to be able to take trees down easy in the jungle. The problem is:

1. Tried to add forge to mods folder on tekkit server. Server wont start even after deleting all files related to forge (had to redownload the server files and everything again)

2. Treeassist disconnects you from the server everytime you cut a tree down.

3. no other plugins that i know of work with 1.2.5

Any ideas?

Dont install Forge. Oh god what are you doing!
