xariongray Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Before the whole bukkit/cauldron/forge/whatever issue, I had scoured through these forums and others and trial/error through to get a little guide for myself on how to create a modpack for putting up on the launcher. Now, that little guide is no longer relevant (unless I missed something, which hey is entirely possible). Just needing any inputs as to what of this (if any of it) is still vaild with Cauldron 1.7.10: Create folder - create bin and mods folders Download the Forge version (must be the same version of Minecraft you plan to play) - place in bin folder - rename to modpack.jar Download mods for version of Minecraft -place in mods folder Select bin and mods folders, compress/archive into a .zip file Upload to file share site (I use Dropbox) At technicpack.com create modpack - Platform URL should start as: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com Thanks for any inputs.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted October 29, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted October 29, 2014 Cauldron and/or Bukkit are only relevant for making a server. Custom modpacks have been unaffected by the nonsense. Here are a few posts which may help you in making a modpack: Getting Mods: My BareBonesPack for Making Modpacks:
