User can't connect, mods not detected by server.

One of the players on my server contacted me today and said that even with the technic launcher, he can't connect to my server (running tekkit 3.0). He says that even though the mods are installed and working in singleplayer, the server doesn't appear to be detecting them. I asked him to send screenshots of his mods folder (I had originally suspected that he had forgotten to select 'use latest development build' in the launcher) as well as the error he was getting, but his folder is identical to mine. The server error is saying that he basically has none of the mods installed, but he does. I tried working with him to find a solution, but I'm stumped.

I can include screenshots for reference if needed, but there's nothing apparent in any of them...and he's asked me not to release them unless absolutely necessary since some of them contain his real name. I can block his name out if the screenshots are needed.

Is everything okay server side? I mean you mentioned you had tekkit 3.0, did you update it to the lastest server update of 3.04?

I haven't updated to 3.04 yet, no, but everything is running smoothly. My other users have no problem connecting. The only real issue I'm having in the logs is that I'm getting spammed with 'null receiver' periodically.

Did that, but the user still can't connect. It does seem to have cleared up quite a bit of the lag I was experiencing before, though! :D

Are you sure this user aint lying to you? I think he/she may still be on 2.1.1

Everything in their folder is exactly the same as mine, right down to the version numbers of each mod. He sent me the screenshots.

tell him to do a quick redownload of the technic pack by clearing his cache and double chcking that he clicks latest build

We had same problem with some players on our server... make sure they have the latest launcher :)

That was it =) He was using an outdated launcher. Strange though, theoretically it still should have worked. Thank you!

you're paranoid....why would someone lie about such a thing?...it's the launcher...he's confused about what minecraft to launch...it launches vanilla from .minecraft.....i have this happening to me too....but i kinda fixxed it.
