Title: Crashes due to "ANVIL"

Version: 2.1.1

OS: Windows 7

Java Version: 1.6.0_31

Description of Problem:

Tekkit crashes after playing in game. This error has only started to occur after the Tekkit launcher upgraded to the new minecraft form, "Anvil".

I have done all in my knowledge to reset Tekkit, and have lost my worlds due to this.

I want the developers and modders of Tekkit to know that there is a huge glitch with the Anvil Tekkit. If possible, please help me return my Tekkit to a working version.

Thank you.

Block IDs have changed, so old worlds need to be converted before being used under Tekkit 3.0.3. If you want to revert back to 2.1.1, go to your world directory and copy level.dat_mcr back to level.dat.

I did what I think you told me to do, by deleting the current level.dat and renaming level.dat_mcr to level.dat

Is that what I was supposed to do?

I made a copy of the world, in case I messed up, which I did.

I now have an error report upon launch.

I tried to capture the error report but it goes away quickly.

reread the report format sticky. It tells you how to get the log you need.

Did you actually go down to a pre-anvil version of minecraft? or did you just change the file name and expect it to work? it will still need to be converted to the new version otherwise.

It did work. I just erased the Tekkit folder inside of .TechnicLauncher and had it re-download a new one.

I cannot use my old worlds, but whatever.

Thank you for the help.
