  1. This ain't half bad, but if you'll allow some constructive criticism... >D You should really use F8 to turn on smooth mouse movements. You should really have thought about your screencap software. There's tone of free ones that let you do HD, and don't have anything annoying in the middle. Seeing as it was Tekkit, perhaps you could've had some more involvement from other players? And the machines showcased were nothing spectacular in my opinion. Take a look at what's on the Tekkit page of technicpack.net, and that's what you should definitely aim to top :D
  2. So yes, I do music. And I want to write an entirely new, Technic-inspired suite of tracks. But that's irrelevant, seeing as absolutely no one has done anything like what I intend to. What I want to do is physically replace Minecraft's ingame music with some of my own. And then make it easy for you guys to do it as well. (<-- The other important bit) People have replaced the music disks before, I know, but that's not what I want to do here. People who have asked this question elsewhere have been flooded with 'just mute ingame and play ur shit in media player, nub'. So what other options are available?
  3. Yeah, should've used strings and horns there, will put a revised version up perhaps.
  4. You can only get capes if... You're a Mojang employee. Were a user in Christmas 2010 Attended Minecon Were the 1,000,000 purchaser of the game Were a part of the Minecraft translation team You are JulianClark.
  5. Perhaps you could take a look here? http://bit.ly/OvXdH9
  6. There's a whole host of reasons why OP isn't getting the fps he wants. One reason is your graphics drivers aren't up to date. Reason 1 and a half is OpenGL isn't up to date, so your CPU ain't doing the work it should be. I also have set my javaw.exe affinity to my third CPU core, which helped hugely. I then allocated more memory to the launcher, and there's loads of tutorials to do this. Interestingly, the hard drive plays a large role client side.
  7. Well, you keep telling us that and just continue to mash the update butan. I don't see any reason Windows Firewall would be involved here, but seeing as no bells and whistles went off, that's unlikely.
  8. Kasperky is more than likely blocking things, try disabling it temporarily.
  9. Amnesia was incredibly well done, but I could just grit my teeth and get through it, same with Slender. It all comes down to atmosphere, and the 'oh, this is it, I'm done for' feeling is pretty hard to achieve, but impossibly effective. Containment Breach was excellent with that. 087-B is based on the stories in SCP as well, and is very effective. http://scpcb.wordpress.com/scp-087-b/ Silent Hill two is the best in it's series by far. Condemned : Criminal Origins was very nicely done indeed, but I'm tempting fate here (you so pussy dat game wasnt scary) Finally, System Shock II. You have to play this game. They even made an optional patch to remove some of the enemies, because people couldn't man up and face them.
  10. Get rid of AVG? Follow the report format?
  11. Just updated here, got some new stuff that lets me do guitars This one may eat your face off.
  12. I was unaware redstone engines were capable of that output, shows how much I bother with BuildCraft. I, however, shall treat this as an exploit, and give anyone on my server who uses it a slap on the wrist.
  13. That's actually given me a reason to use BuildCraft quarries instead of RedPower ones, thanks! :D
  14. There are fixes available for every dupe and greifing bug at the moment, most notable ones in the latest version being computercraft disk drives, black hole bands and void rings, and redpower deployers and transposers.
  15. Presumably that can be changed server side too..? And it better not be powered by redstone, especially for someone like me who doesn't use EE.
  16. You've just given me an awesome idea for some copypasta, my friend :D
  17. Nope. They are still at the top of every board. They are normal threads but have a red pin on them. On a side note, was it really so hard as to colour them read like the old forums? I did say the number of dumb bug reports would go up if they weren't.
  18. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NONONONO NO NO NO NO NEVEEEEEERRRRrRRRRRr Long story short, it was nuthing to do with the luncher.
  19. You don't really NEEEEEEEEEEED Ultra C7. And Optifine is not the problem here.
  20. Aww. I was hoping to see a thread all about Micecraft... Come on Technic team! Put it in already!
  21. You are being... naïve. The block IDs used in the two packs are entirely different. Not only that, but many mods you may take for granted in Singleplayer simply don't exist in Tekkit yet.
  22. A large amount of file sharing sites have been blocked by the Turkish government. and thevinnyeastwoodshow.com, rather amusingly.
  23. Uninstall AVG, and use Avast! or Microsoft Security Essentials instead.
