  1. Ensure you DEFINITELY have Java Runtime Environment 7 installed, and then use just the .jar
  2. On a fresh world, maybe. I put this estimation on the assumption that this is a lively server. Things like other players' portals, extra ores and economies exist. Plus you can nag other players to give you one of everything for your transmutation table. And I would also like to emphasise spamming. You can construct your first piece of red matter in about fifteen minutes if you try hard.
  3. Their EMC values are irrelevant. Everything explosive should be banned anyway.
  4. They certainly look all right, and being efficient is no bad thing. I'm just incredibly disappointed all you people seem to use them for are diamonds.
  5. I would say that a dedicated EE spammer would acquire this in about 25 minutes. Nukes, however, will take more time as uranium has, as of yet, no EMC value. Hence most of the items there are banned on many servers.
  6. IGN - The_DarthMoogle Age - 17 Do you have Hamachi? - Depends what you're using it for. Company Name - M-Tech - High Tech Solutions for the not too fussy. I have a very powerful computer, able to record HD. I also have Skype call recording software, so I can make a proper LP out of it.
  7. Alternative Optifine versions do not work anymore, so yes, by all means use your graphics cards control panel.
  8. Nope, there really is nothing. Although you could change the power efficiency in the config files, meaning the suits will run out of juice quicker. They'll still be explosion proof, but a diamond sword will knock them down. However, there is a PVP version of IC2 in the works, with some seriously cool new weapons promised.
  9. This isn't helpful. Bug reports are there for a reason. All I can recommend is that you get OpenJDK instead, and change your version of Optifine to normal.
  10. Can I make a radical suggestion? You could ask him nicely to link you an archive on dropbox or mediafire (other hosting solutions are available) Or is it something special and secret? o.O
  11. You should allocate more memory to Tekkit, if you can. If there's no difference, check that your graphics drivers have been updated, and that Advanced OpenGL in the Video Settings menu is on.
  12. Would all of that not be on his blog somewhere?
  13. Didn't you make the 'Nightfury Pack' nonsense for your server a while back? You can just do that again, and replace EE with this stuff. And it doesn't work with Buildcraft 2.
  14. Also, for duping, Computer Craft disk drives Black Hole Band Void Ring Crafting Table II/III
  15. Nuthin wrong with hosting on a laptop. 4GB of ram will easily let 10 friends on Tekkit, and won't cause problems like this, so don't bash them for it. And gimme gimme a log, pleaz.
  16. You will also have to install Java portable on the USB stick. However, if you plan on using it at work/school, you won't be able to play until you have run the portable version of Tekkit first on another computer. Also, you will need to ask network administrators to open up port 25565 for you. But you shouldn't be playing games at work/school. So proxies may be needed, but that's another tutorial in itself.
  17. I personally use RedPower quarries and hand mining everything. Saves energy, and gives me things to do while a batch of newly mined stuff is processing.
  18. Somehow people seem to miss the role of staff. Some servers recruit random people or friends, and funnily enough the server goes into disarray. Some servers recruit outside people. These people won't easily be respected in the community if the server's been up for a while, due to resentment from existing players hoping to be staff, and other long time players that have no trust. That, and from my experience, all people that have entered servers looking to be staff off the bat have tried to steal player data and possible finance data. Long story short, if you're phishing, get out. If you're not, get out anyway. And go and spend some time being a pillar of a community, and then you can tell the server owner how amazing you are.
  19. I had a look at yours. It's very nice indeed. I'm just annoyed that so many people post so called 'Let's Plays' that amount to no more than just private servers.
  20. Geniouous, Cheap. Utter geneious. Oh, and see you all in the beta.
  21. At least you tried making a bug report. But you're missing a shed load of stuff. Go and have a look at all the stickies, and surely your salvation will come.
  22. You're gonna run out of room on your head for medals, soon enough! Oh, and Moogle Inc is being set back a bit because my new pc is actually arriving today -.- One quick question, What are the coloured red blocks in screenshot 3?
  23. You do know what a Let's Play is, right? http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/lets-get-something-straight-people.15217/ I am looking to do my own Let's Play soon, and I may let the odd n00b into it while I'm building. Stay tuned.
  24. In that case, soulgriever is correct, and you are running multiple versions of Java on your system. Good luck! I was also being a dickwad. I meant 'don't sign your posts', but I thought it was indefinitely hilarious to put 'sing' instead.
  25. MCPatcher is your problem. Clear Cache, and carry on without any problems whatsoever. Optifine is just fine for whatever you need. Also, don't sing your posts.
