Because why do we have to fantasise about these things, when what we have around us already is unbelievably complex and fascinating? Take for example this. Take a friend and stand them in front of you with their eyes closed. Slowly edge your hand closer and closer toward their head, and they will fall over. What's a more incredible explanation? We have 'energy fields/auras' that can be disturbed, or that fact that we can sense minute changes in pressure, and the fact that the change in pressure between your hand and their head makes them instinctively lean forward, without them knowing they are going off balance?

It's never coming back. Why are you so afraid of trying to mod, there's countless resources out there, and all you need to make sure is that you have backed up your saves.

What you're looking for in a potentially incompatible mod, is ModloaderMP, for most of these have severe Forge incompatibilities too.

You may have accidentally put more than one line in the Java runtime parameters. Go to the Java setup in Control Panel, and double check what you have in there. Try -Xincgc -Xmx1356M

It's really not very difficult. If any mod requires ModLoader, just drop it in the 'mods' folder. If any mod has things that usually go in the minecraft.jar, then they actually go in the modpack.jar. you then run minecraft, let it crash, see which id's are conflicting, ??? Profit. Was using the searchbar that difficult, either?

It should work, but watching the chaos unfold in the comments sections suggest otherwise. What launcher version are you using? What version of Windows are you using? What bit version of Java are you using? What antivirus program are you using? The report format is there for a reason, and the video there is a highly unreliable and mostly temporary fix.

@Pulse Well aren't you a funny one. Ah, no. Kids TV in the UK has never been better to be honest. Top flight writers, comedians and animators all working together, it's kinda awesome. RP2, definitely. The bundled and coloured cable plus computers is going to be a godsend for what I'm planning on doing. Though I may have 8x6 screen for giggles. New PC is turning up in a few weeks, so I'll start it then, and build a Let's Play around it. Backplague will pale into insignificance with what I plan on doing. My drawn up plan should make it's way on here in drawing form in a few days.
