    Server Features

    Our server runs 24/7!

    We have a multitude of plugins, including Essentials, iChat, VoxelSniper, Worldguard/Worldedit, Dynmap and more.

    We essentially added whatever mods we found cool. Therefore, the mod list is quite long, but our main mods are Buildcraft, Redpower, Thaumcraft, Industrial Craft 2 + addons, GregTech, Extra Biomes XL, Computercraft, Railcraft, and Logistics Pipes.

    How do I join?

    A brief history

    Liminality first started a little more than a year ago, as a vanilla minecraft server. We slowly built up our users, and ended up with a core group of veterans. Later on, when we got bored with vanilla, we started looking for alternate ways to play minecraft. Dabbled a bit in mods, but we were too lazy to continuously update our mods when the servers got updated. We finally stumbled upon Tekkit! Instantly fell in love, ended up renting a dedicated server, then another dedicated server, and stayed with that one for a while. The following pictures are the highlights of the now deceased world.

    But now those days are gone. With all the drama around ForgeBukkit, we decided to take matters into our own hands. And with long hours of work, out came LimCraft! A new modpack made specifically for our server.

    With Extra Biomes XL, we have a beautiful autumn biome

    Server Specs

    Our server is a dedicated VPS server, with 4gb of ram, and 6gb of burstable ram. No bandwidth limit, and we have a dedicated CPU core!

  2. Replace the buildcraft/api in the railcraft zip with the buildcraft/api in the buildcraft core zip for both the client and server.

    Thanks! I think we'll wait on that until the dev team does the clients just because its a lot of work getting 40 odd players to change around their client.

  3. Title: [3.1.3] Power Converter Errors

    Version: 3.1.3

    OS: Linux

    Java Version: 7

    Description of Problem:

    We've recently attempted to update tekkit to 3.1.3, unfortunately it seems to be broken at the moment. It gets stuck immediately after loading the world and gives some errors on power converters. For some reason CC can't find Redpower World either. I have since downgraded as there are too many problems with this build.

    I'd advise others not to upgrade until they figure this out.

  4. Ou told us nothing. Find and complete all sections and for the love of god fix your error log. It's not a log of your actions, it's a lo f the servers actions, if you're even using a server cause it seems as if you're using technic at the moment.

  5. I've had problems using modify world for pex. I love their chat manager and heir actual permissions, yet I find modify world doesn't work well with tekkit. Try usin disablecraft instead. Or like torezu says use the allow lines at the bottom of the config.

    Lol 4G for 25-30 players? do you have almost all your tekkit mods disabled or what?

    BTW go to some server OPs in the server section see their server slots in relation to their hardware and their disabled mods + plugins it should give you an idea of what you need to disable to avoid a lot of lag.

    Lol I just realized what I said when I read your comment. It was late and I wasn't thinking straight. I have ram for a max of 30 people on a vanilla server. This equates to low/no lag for anywhere under 10 people. Sorry about any confusion this has caused!

  7. Is it possible to run the map from my personal computer and have it read the world files from the hosted server?

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but it isn't possible due to the way that dynmap works. I believe it needs to be in the plugins folder of your server to correctly read your world. I believe mike will have more of the how's and why's.

  8. I've always used dynmap for my servers, then when I started wih my tekkit server, I got the newest version of dynmap and was surprised to see that you have made it comPatible with tekkit. You should get a medal my friend!

    As for some constructive feedback, probably the biggest issue I have with installation is the configuration file. It could be more organized and streamlined, as well as simpler information for each configurable line. I.e. have sections for tekkit with subsections for each mod, as well as a section for everything else to do with dynmap. Or, instead of enabling each mod on the configuration, at the top putting a line that simply says

    Tekkit-server-enabled: true/false to bypass all of the activation of the mods.

  9. Wrong section, go to the bug section. If you could really call it a bug.

    EDIT: To be more useful, quantum doesn't prevent damage. It just nullifies it. You take 0 hearts of fall damage, not you take no fall damage. Thats why the animation and sounds still happen.Hope it helps.

    The reason I posted it here is because I don't really consider it a bug, more a minor annoyance. I'm aware it nullifies fall damage, yet it never used to play sound and animation. Regardless if it cannot be fixed, I'll live with it!
