Hello new forum user, This is a common problem multiple people have so please scroll down on the place that you downloaded the mod and follow the **COMMON PROBLEMS AND THEIR SOLUTIONS CLICK HERE** link which will help you solve your problem. You need to understand that not doing a simple search on the forum or a simple browse of the sticky threads is breaking rules. Just think if 10 people had this very same issue and they all posted new threads it would make them all look quite stupid. Please follow the rules. If you did not notice that the launcher is now easier for the Technic team and the user. You do have control over the program just by not using it you dont have to enter your password therefore you have full control. Yes actually this can be policed by making Launchers such as this so people need a valid account to play if they dont want to own a valid account they have the option to cry about it or buy the game. You saying it cant be policed is pretty outrageous when you are here complaining about how secure it now is. Why when this team of people work hard to let all these people enjoy this technic pack want to help the ungrateful and make it harder for them to make updates? If you have enjoyed the technic pack now for however long, you should be grateful they do this and be grateful that they are improving and making it better for there users. If you are using the newly released Launcher to try and join a server it simply will not work. The launcher is currently only made for single player and you cant join the current released tekkit servers. Only use the client available in this post http://technicpack.net/tekkit/

The released tekkit server is for Minecraft 1.0 the launcher uses Minecraft 1.1 It just will not work. If you are using a tekkit 1.0 server you need the 1.0 client.

It is not complete yet for public use. If its not available on the main Technic website it is not available.

Try just selecting technic up the top left again and the button will become clickable.

But are you saving the modloader file that you edit? if you make changes and dont save the file setting wont change.

Then also try downloading Java 6, Java 7 is not the official Java so try downloading the version 6. I have both installed but it wont work using java 6 for me. It is worth trying.

In the nei options it has a button to enable and disable item numbers. Also try just pressing o (oh not Zero) while in your inventory it will hide NEI. Also on the modloader.cfg there is a line "mod_NotEnoughItems=on" switch that to off and make sure you save the file after making the changes and restart the launcher.

Try going into your control panel and selecting java then the java tab up the top of that window. Then clicking view and untick the 1.6 apply those changes and try the launcher again. I would think its a network/internet issue on your pc, or it could also be the Technic files are being inundated with requests of files from many people and some are being disconnected.

This is a login problem you need to use your Minecraft login details. The files are not downloaded until it verifies that you own a legitimate Minecraft account. If you have bought the game like you say you should be able to login just fine. The Launcher is now made easier than ever and it solves many previous problems The launcher is never the issue it is normally the user.

Try hovering over the item On the right hand side and pressing R it will show you the recepie used.

Sometimes for me the button wont be click-able so i just select the technic up the top left corner and the button is able to be pressed. Try that.

There is a new folder created it does not use the original .minecraft folder but look in your appdata folder it will be name .technic launcher. Make sure you select options in the launcher and set your ram settings appropriately.

Click on "mod select" and try disabling the grassfix=true to false. Unsure if this will work but worth trying.

It is because I play on the server Fluffy plays on, Please you should not be having off topic discussions in threads even if this is in the discussion section.
