Can you please be more specific does it give you a white screen after you have filled in your login details and downloaded the stuff. Does it not even let you login? I would consider the programs running would specifically be virus detection programs that may be blocking your internet traffic to the launcher. Unfortunately you have not described what is happening which makes it hard to help you. I only get a white screen when I check the box [use latest LWGL binaries] in the options.

Try downloading the Java 7 version here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre-7u1-download-513652.html Also if you are using 64 bit windows try installing the 64 bit version then setting it as the default Java used in your controlpanel. Also try be more specific when posting your operating system many users are using 64 or 32 bit versions and it can be important. I can reproduce this very same issue if a dont allow my internet connection with Java so make sure you have added a firewall exception on your Virus detection program.

Yes that does sound like a big operation just to play, its up to you but as I said its on the launcher official issue's and it will be addressed soon enough just have to be patient.

Just a suggestion, just try getting the game started then unplug your internet I am not sure if it continues to check if you have a connection but worth trying if you cant stay connected on your laptop.

Its similar to normal minecraft where you need to be connected to obtain the files, the Technic launcher does not have the whole pack in a 60 kb file. If you have a legitimate version of Minecraft try and be patient and if you dont, just buy the game!!

When you have issues like this please post your System specs so people can answer your question easier.

This is because you have not assigned a document editor for the .cfg file extension. Simply locate your .technic launcher/technicssp/config/ModLoader.cfg and assign it a default program such as notepad. No issue with the Technic pack it all seems to run fine just a few minor issues with the launcher but I posted it on the Github.
