  1. So far, I have tried a couple, my next shot is to try Essentials Anti-Build. From what I have read, and what I've managed with the Essentials system in general on my server, this should work out ok. I would say test it out and see what results you get.
  2. Are you certain you are using Tekkit-Lite 0.5.7?
  3. I've always had to move it. I've used one, with an infinite length of pipe, but, the longer the pipe the more energy I've needed to put into the pump to power it. I didn't say you had to use more than one, i've just never been able to do more than a small area with out moving it every few hours.
  4. they are LOL. I know there's got to be some way to manage it, but, I haven't found it yet, short of making a farm that's 11 x 11 wide, and putting a rancher in the center of each side. gives the sheep room to breathe, and the ranchers a chance to harvest the wool. Could also do the same with cows and mooshrooms... porkchop and steak harvesting is much more fun though. Takes chrono-devices, breeders, and your auto-wheat farm... amazing once you get it running.
  5. have you tried uninstalling tekkit-lite, then redownloading it?
  6. It also could be due to incompatibility issues between minecraft and windows 8, though it doesn't tend to happen often enough on mine to really say it is constant.
  7. I'm not sure, but I would say based on your information that there's not enough memory set to java. Try adding more memory to Java's cache access.
  8. I can't answer your sheep ninja's problem, though I believe it's just a bug within minecraft itself. As for the Fertilizers, when I did the auto-farm, I used solars to power the fertilizers. I put the solar panel two squares above it and ran the wire down to the fertilizer. It worked great, as long as there was sunlight. As a backup, I ran a couple electric engines attached to a batbox/solar panel system, and it kept the fertilizer running day and night with no power issues. I would say make sure it has its own power base to prevent it from losing too much power, and, also, use a lever to shut it off when it is low on power. This will give it plenty of time to charge up. Sorry, I don't know enough about the sorting of items with the barrels to help here, though I do know that some items cannot go into the barrels at all, and that could be part of the problem. With redpower pumps, you need to manage the grates down as your water levels lower, to empty the water. The grates will pull the water from within a certain distance of themselves (I believe it is only up to 32 squares in any direction, could be less) and move it to whereever you want it moved to. Remember to keep your pumps power high, otherwise you won't be able to move the water fast enough to prevent infinite water spawning.
  9. It sounds like what I intend to do with Mystcraft. I love letting my players use it for quarries and exploration, and in the end, they still have to deal with the potential threats of a collapsing world. However, limiting what the players can make can be a daunting task, especially when using permissions plugins (yay BukkitForge!). I would recommend this path, as it limits how many worlds the players can create by not letting them create the description books, and you can limit them making linking books as well. Within certain permissions nodes, you can even limit the exact number of linking books a player can have in their name in total, thereby limiting their teleportation systems greatly. Another option is to fully lock Mystcraft to Ops only. That makes it a lot harder on you and your staff, but also makes the controls a lot simpler to manage. It can also be used as a tool for rewards and the such, though Mystcraft can be used that way regardless.
  10. You could also use this trick to help: http://forums.technicpack.net/members/tekkitopotamus.106907/
  11. Try this fix: http://forums.technicpack.net/members/tekkitopotamus.106907/ it should repair those issues. What I have found is that, while it says it is one add-on for IC2, it really isn't. It's something to do with these files instead, and, after a couple hours running, the system crashes hard. This fix will also fix issues with Nuclear Control and with Advanced Machines.
  12. This, I think, is caused by Railcraft (seems strange, I know, but just go with it). With the new update to Railcraft, inside the mod file is a folder called Buildcraft. This folder is for a future update of Buildcraft, tying Railcraft into a version of Buildcraft not attached to Tekkit. If you remove this file, most of those issues will go away. I found the issue when I placed a pump into the game, suddenly everything crashed and no one could log in. I don't know for sure if this will fix it or not, but, it's a good place to start. If it doesn't fix it, let us know and someone will find a better answer for you. To do this, in the server files go to the Mods folder, then open Railcraft-5.4.7-MCPC-1.2.5-r7.zip. Inside the zip file, should be the Buildcraft folder. Remove it, and restart your server. This should repair that issue.
  13. have you tried using the recommended build instead of the latest build in the options instead? That may download all the files you need
  14. have you tried running the launcher from the .techniclauncher folder instead of the supplied shortcut/.exe?
  15. I found this seems to work too: http://forums.technicpack.net/members/tekkitopotamus.106907/ as it seems to eliminate the problems of both entirely.
  16. Install both the 64 bit and the 32 bit java. This helped me when I had issues. Then, if you can't launch from the supplied launcher file, go to %appdata% and into the .techniclauncher folder, use the technic launcher jar as your startup instead. It should work. If it doesn't, then I would check into installing on a usb drive.
  17. I think there are a number of things going wrong. You are having this issue with Nuclear Controls, I am having an issue with Advanced Machines. I am wondering if it is something else causing these things to error out, instead of the mods themselves.
