I was wondering the same thing until last night when I realized after playing in single player mode with "cheat" on, when I switched to play multiplayer it would stay in cheat until I switched it back to "recipe" mode. If you pull up the item menu while in cheat mode and "accidentally" click an item (thinking your getting the recipe) I think it treats that selection as a give command.. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I copied the save game folder to my desktop and updated it from there, however if you have redstone engines in your games you need to take out the "161 -> 1" line out of the patch file. Also as I said above the black hole chest if you have one is "194:2 -> 4092:2", and that needs to be added. After you update the saved worlds then copy them into your tekkitlite\saves folder.

Ok so I finally got it going with the MV solar panel hooked up to the adjustable electric engine with glass cable, then to the quarry with the wood HV power pipe on the engine and then run to the quarry with stone conductive pipe from there. leave some room in case you blow up some pipe from over powering the engine. I have mine running at 75 EU/t to 30 MJ/t, and man does that baby fly!!!

Your patch file turns redstone engine's to stone.. Item 161 in both versions. Also Black hole chest is 194:2 -> 4092:2.

BTW, I did try putting the updated power converters mod for minecraft 1.4.6 in the mod folder and it crashed.

This means no powering the Quarry with nuclear or solar power, this is not acceptable. :(
