  1. Thanks! Your post & a subsequent error log message are what finally allowed me to "fix" this.
  2. Ok this was an assets issue with sound files.. Either amazon is having trouble pushing them out to me or the launcher is derping. Here is how to workaround: 1. Download http://www.mediafire.com/download/0zgbsno2gooreo3/MCAssets.rar 2. Add the contents of this rar file to your .technic\assets directory (directory names are sounds, sound, records, music, lang & icons). This should work around the issue.. It's not perfect since I don't know what other sound files are missing but it will do for now..
  3. I have a hunch this issue is related to the LWJGL version being used. I downgraded the version however the technic launcher keeps upgrading it when I launch (even when I rename the files to match). I am guessing that the launcher uses MD5 to determine if the file has changed and if so, replaces it with the "correct" version. Does anyone know how to prevent the Technic client from doing this?
  4. Damn this seems to be a rare issue.. No luck with a fix yet
  5. Here you go (I installed to a alternate directory to see if it helped, it did not)
  6. Here is my log if it helps: http://pastebin.com/pYc9q4Ni
  7. When I launch vanilla MC I have 100% working sound. When I use the Technic launcher I only hear animal sounds (no matter what pack I play). No digging noise, no GUI sounds etc.. I have been searching the forums for about an hour trying various things (such as F3+S to reset sounds & syncing up my assets folder with the vanilla install version) but have not been successful in solving the problem. Can someone point me in the right direction?
  8. Ignore my last post! I found the "Craft" option on the export bus! Thanks!
  9. I agree this is a better way to get the items in and I tried it, the problem then become converting the pumpkin / melon to seeds, the interface seems to be the best way to do that but I cannot us the interface with your suggestion since and the export bus will not trigger the crafting of seed from melon / pumpkins. Do you have a good way to do fruit -> seed conversion (and dump them back into ME)?
  10. I have several farms setup that feed all of their plants into my ME network. I am looking for the most efficient way to do the following: 1. Break pumpkins & melons into seeds so I can use them in a bio reactor 2. Feed the seeds created in step 1 along with other plants (saplings, potato, carrots etc.) that are also stored in the ME network into my Bio reactor. For step one I just created crafting patterns and put them into my Molecular Assembler then setup an ME interface to request 1 stack of each type of seed, this seems to be working well. Step 2 is giving me issues.. I was using an emerald pipe to alternate items out of the ME interface into my Bio reactor however it's very slow. I don't want to use an engine because of heat issues (I realize I can plan for this but I really want to look @ other options first). I also have to build a pipe return back to the ME interface to avoid item overflow when / if the reactor is full. I am sure I am going about this all wrong, any help the community can provide would be great. I have tried a few other things that have not worked such as trying to export directly to my bio reactor from the ME network. Here are a few screen shots to make understanding this easier:
  11. IGN: Mercwear Previous Bans: No bans Been playing minecraft since: 2010 Been Playing Technic packs since: October, 2012 Favorite mod: IC2 Mod you would like seen added: Nothing comes to mind, your mod list is pretty good What Number1Zombie loves to use: He loves setting a quarry up over top your house! Why you should be whitelisted? I do what I can to make the server fun to play on. I am an active player that enjoys helping others. I contribute to the greater good whenever possible. I have several friends that play and I would try to recruit them to the server if it's fun. I have been an admin and operator on several servers and know my way around most of the mod packs you are running. What you want to do on the server: I would like to contribute to a town or settlement with other players. Starting out I would probably just find a place to live while I gather the required resources to be successful. Once my inventory of goods is ready I will ask around about towns and settlements and pick on that fits my style. Once I have been accepted into a town I will hopefully be able to build circular buildings with glass roofs, this is my preferred layout. A coal farm based on Steve’s carts is probably something I will work on as well.
  12. I have been playing on this server for around a two months and love it (in game name is Mercwear). The staff and players are very nice and there is next to no lag. Add the fact that there are very few banned items and that people that decide to donate get a few cool spiffs and there is no reason not to make this place your home. A++ -Mercwear
  13. I just played the last few days on this server and want to warn everyone that not only are the mods not on very much at all, griefing and theft are common place. I personally lost everything I had even though the chests were protected. Fair warning before you waste your time!
  14. Have you tried upgrading or downgrading your buildcraft version? It's a shot in the dark but may be worth a try.
  15. Try disabling buildcraft by removing the "buildcraft-A-3.4.2.jar" from your server's /mods (assuming you are running Tekkit Lite v 0.5.7) directory and re-starting. That will probably get your server back up w/o buildcraft.. Not sure how to go about removing the block your buddy placed that killed the server in the first place w/o buildcraft running but this forum is full of smart people that I am sure will have advice on that.
  16. Great ideas - thank you for the help. I am going to get this up and running =)
  17. I have been trying to figure this one out, it seems simple and I am sure I am just missing it I have a chest full of coal The chest has 2 filters connected to it that both link to other chests The timer is set up to fire both filters at once, sending 2 coal to each chest This works “OK” but at times, there is only 1 coal in the chest and this means that one of the chests it is being sent to will not get a coal when the timer fires Has anyone been able to solve this one? I am sure I am just using the wrong block (filter).. Thanks
  18. I cannot find any items with this name in Tekkit Lite 0.5.7 - can you please elaborate?
  19. Someone put a Dimensional Anchor in the nether (probably), you can disable Dimensional Anchors or upgrade the mod (and push it out to your users via custom zip). Here is a thread with few fixes: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/server-crash-crashes-on-restart.36713/#post-305403
  20. You are correct, it does let you get the server back up. I finally ended up moving to a custom zip file (awesome feature) so I could keep dimensional anchors by upgrading it to a newer release. Now that all of my users are using this custom zip I can easily deploy changes to the server. Dimensional anchors are one of two ways to reliably keep chunks loaded, and in my opinion is a big part of the tekkit experience (Steve's carts can do this too). Playing without them really limits the overall experience.
  21. http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/tekkitlite/Tekkit_Lite_Server_0.5.3.zip I would assume that you can skip all of my steps and just remove the Dimensional Anchors mod all together (you will want to do this anyway to prevent the same problem). You disable the mod by moving the 'dimensional-anchor-52.1.1.jar' file from your /mods directory then starting your server. The crafting option for dimensional anchors will still be available but users will not actually be able to create the item. Hope this helps.
  22. This has something to do with Dimensional Anchors, I am having the same problem as of this morning (tekkit lite 0.5.2). Here is how I fixed it: ** Edit ** I would assume that you can skip all of my steps and just remove the Dimensional Anchors mod all together (you will want to do this anyway to prevent the same problem). You disable the mod by moving the 'dimensional-anchor-52.1.1.jar' file from your /mods directory then starting your server. The crafting option for dimensional anchors will still be available but users will not actually be able to create the item ** /Edit ** **Create a backup of everything before you do this!!** 1. Create a new server with the latest tekkit lite build (0.5.3) and start the world in order to generate the server files 2. Delete the contents of the world directory of your new server 3. Copy the contents of the world directory from your current server to the new one & start the 0.5.3 server 4. Set the launcher to use the development build 5. Login to the new server (the 0.5.3 world) & remove all Dimensional Anchors from your world (or at least the last one you made) 6. Issue a save-all command and stop the server 7. Delete the contents of your current world directory (the world that wont start) 8. Copy the contents of the new world directory from the 0.5.3 server to your current server (the one that wont start) 9. Start the server This worked for me, it looks like something was broken with Dimensional Anchors, which sucks because they are great =( If there is a better / faster way to remove the Dimensional Anchors I would love to hear it!
