  1. also, i'm not entirely convinced that the traincraft mod is exactly what i'm after, the idea is to create a mobile oil/mining platform.
  2. yeah, its a bit vague, tbh i think it might be having problems with railcraft/forestry. conflicting block id's it says.
  3. i'm slowly finding that out, thus far i've established i can get it to work but it 'cant find wu class', which is the one i defo put in the minecraft.jar, currently trying it in the modpack.jar see if that makes any difference. nope, just get a good old fashioned crash that way. tried the traincraft mod, managed to crashed forge with that, i'll try again. all i can say is thank god for backing up files... edit: also, why must tekkit take forever to load....
  4. nuclear reactor for one [forcefields, reinforced stone, water wall, and a seperate indepenant mechanism for automated control. protip:there's no such thing as too much protection...] for two: find something simple to do and find a mind bogglingly complicated way of doing it. as soon as i get my reactor finished i plan to try for an automated brewery, making many different beverages to refresh the community/get my screen all wavy.... for 3: two words: teleporter, maze
  5. ok, so here goes the story, yes i know this mod is riddled with bugs [dont let it to touch the rest of the world unless you like system crashes etc] but i also think it is rather awesome, so awesome in fact i'm attempting to get it to work with tekkit. problem is, i'm getting to the point of absolute confusion, installing it as per instructions leads to having the block, placing the block, and getting told it couldnt find the 'wu class' file in the minecraft jar, ie the same file i just put there. now the only reason it wouldnt work is that it claims to need modloader, which of course kills tekkit. any tips on what i'm doing wrong here? *battens down the hatches for being called a noob *
  6. it comes in a box made of mirrors, the lazers reflect around inside and when the box is open it destroys most of the earth. the survivors task you with rebuilding it, which makes the rest of your life extremely boring. i wish for 100 donuts
  7. looks pretty sweet surely that takes ages to cool down? i've found even with almost limitless ice adding capacity i cant have less than 7 ive in the reactor without the heat going haywire? i'm trying to get a less powerful autofeed setup [47 cells 7 ice] any tips on how to get a reliable method of knowing when the reactor needs changed? atm its kind of a 'wait till its at temp=0 then take all the ice out and reload' affair.
  8. never mind, the 7th re-install of java decided it liked tekkit again. no idea whats different to the previous 6 times but its working fine now
  9. ok, so was playing tekkit last night, normal experience of running like a dream. go to try and play today, get about 3 seconds of 'downloading technic launcher' before the normal startup procedure. then this message: 'found java but couldn't start the launcher, your java installation is probably corrupted' followed by: 'system.componentmodel.win32exception: the requested operation requires an elevation at system.diagnostics.process.startwithcreateprocess[processstartinfostartinfo] at system.diagnostics.process.start[processstartinfostartinfo] attechniclauncher.program.runlauncher[string launcherpath] tried re-installing java, it was a newer version of java i got so i assumed the technic launcher download was some form of update for newer java. still got the same message. so i uninstalled java and re-installed the version i had currently been running. still the same message. tried vanilla minecraft and it fired up fine until i got a message telling me: 'the java virtual machine doesn't have enough memory' dont know if thats related, but atm i cant play either minecraft or tekkit. any clues on whats up here? dont think its actually a tekkit based problem but i figured this would be a good place to ask. edit: info on pc specs just for reference: running fx8150 [stock], sabertooth mb, 16gb ddr3, asus 7850 on 13.1 drivers, windows 7 64bit ultimate
