Maybe your server provider does not support tekkit? Or maybe its not activated on your server. The last one happened to me, i had to tell them to activate the server as tekkit. -
I solved this by getting 1.115.213 version of IC2, which i found on http://minecraftuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Industrial_Craft_2_Mod
