  1. More info would be useful. Would it possibly be chests from the ironChests mod?
  2. So I'm running a custom-built challenge server where all power is reduced by 10, recipes are changed to require more materials, and mobs are incredibly more frequent. The power generation is balanced perfectly to make things difficult, yet not impossible, and is very challenging. However, one of the best (and renewable) fuels by far is biofuel, as players will need to create large farms to sustain hunger anyway, and flax drops an extremely large number of seeds. The problem is, as fuel generation is reduced tenfold, the power required to compress/extract/can the fuel exceeds the power gained, making this method redundant, as biofuel/coalfuel is extremely laborous. I've made somewhat of a fix, by adding a recipe that takes 6 fuel cans to make a bucket of fuel. It's balanced enough so that it's not too much of a gain, but enough that it pays off. However, as biofuel is much cheaper than coalfuel, coalfuel is not as effective as it used to be. So I'm looking for someone who can make a plugin/server mod that will add the ability to fuel combustion engines with fuel cans for a configurable amount for each biofuel and coalfuel. Now, as the differing two don't just have a different item id/metadata, I have no idea how this would be implemented, However I do know that it is possible. And bonus points if you can add the ability to put coal coke into steam engines to burn twice as long as coal. I would appreciate it if someone can design this for me. I'd prefer if it was a plugin, with a config file that can change the amount of fuel given from fuel cans, different values for the two. Anyway, thanks to whoever can do this for me
  3. So I'm bottling my friend's Wifi to save on internet costs

  4. I've been trying to shy away from this sort of stuff, but I'll try. I've a server, Tekkit classic, custom modified, and I'm looking for a partner to play with as my friend won't be able to play as he's going into the military. Looking for someone around the age of at least 18 or 20, some minecraft experience, and somewhat entertaining to chat with. For latency/time zone reasons, I'd prefer if it was in Florida, better if Gainesville. I am a brony, as you may tell by my profile pic, 19, and Somewhat of an outcast- I'm not one to join the herd, so I'm either sitting in the corner, or eating glue. So if you want to join up with me, reply or message me. Also, bonus points if you can name my avatar
  5. Mentos are my drug of choice these days....

  6. Add me to skype, and I'll see about adding you. Skype name: Natesky9 And also, that's not how you spell Rarity, silly!
  7. If you read thoroughly, ALL EE is disabled, and you will also notice that this is a challenge server. That means that all exploits are removed. If you want diamonds, do it yourself in creative, on your own server.
  8. Equivalent Exchange is full of various exploits. To use them is to cheat, plain and simple. Why not just use NEI to cheat items in for you?
  9. Yes, another Duplication glitch with EE. Unless one of them is a phantom copy. Confirm, and we'll keep it in mind
  10. Too many plugins. If you're looking to host around 10-20 people, and you don't have a proper server setup, don't overload it with so many plugins. Tekkit already has a large load with the mods that it carries around, putting [THIRTY-SIX] Extra, unnecessary plugins will only add to the burden. Seriously, cool it with the plugins. As for your choice for some of the plugins, just no. Stop. You don't need that many redundant plugins. 1. Dynmap can be very resource demanding. Use it sparingly 2. Chestshop is your friend. You can replace 6 of your economy plugins with this very simple one 3. Creeperheal will also negate a fair amount of plugins, as it prevents griefing with tnt, fire, as well as natural griefing (creepers, fire, ghasts) 4. As much as I hate Essentials, it has many of the functionality that you're using other plugins for. Get rid of either, and you'll notice a difference. 5. On a well-managed server, you should be running no more than 12 plugins, 80% CPU, 75% total RAM, and 3% of your network utilization. Also, on another note, if you want to tweak your server a bit more... [ONLY FOR ADVANCED WINDOWS USERS] 1. Disable all services not related to crucial processes. 2. stop explorer.exe 3. Only have core services, server.bat, and task manager running Note: If you stop explorer.exe, your WHOLE desktop will be gone. Your desktop uses ~1% cpu, and maybe some Ram, but that, along with many other things, can add about 10% more leeway for your server, when it's needed. Otherwise, it will keep your system cooler. Whenever you need your desktop again, just open task manager, and add new task, then type in explorer.exe But specifically for you, get rid of some plugins. That's your main concern
  11. Well, there you go. Nothing more to it, just the item id's didn't carry over correctly. If you're looking for a solution, There are several classic>lite converters that address this problem Before, there was a bug where converting could make DM pedistals replace cocoa beans on jungle trees
  12. Fine. It isn't a glitch. It's a major Exploit that the mod develpoers didn't intend to happen when they made this mod. I have friends that do the SAME EXACT THING, and they swear to notch that it's not cheating. But when you put in 2 blaze rods, and get back 3, that's pretty cheaty to me. And here's the kicker, it only uses 128 EU to do it. That's 1/4th of a second from ONE SOLAR PANEL. Scale this up quite easily, and you're pumping out a diamond every 4 seconds out of thin air Honestly, if you're already doing this in servers just to get redmatter armor and tools before everyone else, you just need to move on.
  13. As far as I can see, it looks like you havn't stopped the server for all changes/files to be saved. Simply stop the server, then start it up again. Then post back with the results
  14. I propose the authors/developers put a delay on the time you type to the time it actually searches for something. Simply searching "conden" Will make it search: 450 items that have a C 200 items that have a co 120 items that have cond and only the handful of items from there on. By telling it to wait a second after you stop typing to start the search, you can skip about 800 items, almost making it instant, instead of the frame-dropping moment, that will sometimes even miss your keystrokes
  15. This is why EE2 isn't even considered a mod, and more of a cheat. Basically, we just don't care anymore. Stop posting about glitches
  16. I forgot to mention, server will be down for about 2 hours while I install the new hard drive and the OS again. Upgraded to SSD to keep up with demand
  17. Accepted! I tried replying earlier, but servers went down apparently right as I was sending it. Also, add me to skype, if you have one: Natesky9
  18. I've used 2shared. It's free, and unlimited downloads. The only restriction is that the uploaded file can't be larger than 200 mb (perfect for server files) Remember when you upload it, go to download, but copy link location of "File didn't download? Click *here* to try again" Where here is your Direct download link. You then use goo.gl to shorten that, and there you go
  19. Dropbox and Mediafire DO work, you just have to copy the file URL, not just the page direct.
  20. *EDIT* There is now a map of the server, CHeck it out here: http://goo.gl/NUCIT *[Re-edit]* Server will be down for a quick 30 minutes for debugging and final tests of changes. Will be up soon
  21. Accepted, Triqoz, welcome to the herd. I might not be on for a bit, but you're whitelisted. Try to pick a corner of the map that isn't taken already. I'm working on liking everything up with rails
  22. Tekkit classic is an awesome modpack. Many of the other mod packs out there just can't seem to hold my interest, despite how much they have crammed into them. But Tekkit has gotten a bit too easy for me. So, to make things more interesting, I challenge myself beyond my strict-self imposed rules. Some things were just FAR too overpowered, others just not used at all. So I did some tweaking, some messing around, and I made a modified version that me and my friends play on. And we love it. So here are some of the things that we did, mainly to draw things out, and also to experiment with some of the unused mechanics. Power generation: made it necessary, if not required to use several forms of energy generation. This includes Solar, wind, hydroelectric, coal, nuclear, biomass, coalfuel, and geothermal All base EU generation reduced by a factor of 10. This means that 2 coal in a generator will power a macerator for 1 item. Therefore, it is worth the extra refining to turn coal into coalfuel cells to produce 2.5 times more power per coal. Coal coke is also a great choice, as coal coke burns for twice as long as normal coal, and only requires the extra time and a few coke ovens. Coal coke also gives creosote oil, which is extremely useful, I'll get to that later. This ALSO means that tin cables are a CRUCIAL part to any setup, as generators only put out 1EU/t, meaning that using copper cable will waste nearly ALL of your power farther than 5 blocks. Tin cable can tolerate up to 5 EU/t, and only lose 1EU every 40 blocks! Tin, for the win, guys Beside all generators producing significantly less power, the solar panels are further reduced to give only 1/16th of their original power. This was done for 2 reasons, one being that I wanted to see the investment that went into large solar farm, and also to influence people to go out of their comfort zone Engines are a better choice for energy generation, as they burn twice as efficient as generators, but have the downfall of not being able to use several fuels like biomass, coalfuel, or coke Several mechanics just didn't make sense to me, such as the fact that biofuel, a theoretically "renewable" resource, relied on 1 1/2 tin ingots to produce only a third of the power than using coalfuel. So I changed that, and a few other things. Removed the cells in biofuel to be replaced with 8 paper for total renewability Biofuel now costs 8 of any plant matter (4 for sapplings, 6 for flax) and 16 sugar cane Creosote now has better uses, such as a very weak fuel, torches, and H.Coal Bluetricity has been modified, and is now the go-to source for smelting. Bluetricity is severely under-used, but it is a VERY sweet part of the mod. Engines are far more efficient than straight generators alone, but require the supporting equipment. 6 steam engines will cap a MV generator, and combustion engines are a must-have for ANY major operation Recipe modifications: Paper was modified for several of the recipes, just because it just got too abundant, and with many of my other recipes relying on paper, I STILL had an overabundance of it. So I changed the result to 2 paper for 3 cane Books now give a small amount of Exp when crafted, but require a more, book-shaped recipe with 6 paper instead of 3. Coalfuel and Biofuel now have different recipes, encouraging people to turn to them for a consistent output. plantballs can be crafted with all plantmatter, and even seed bags! Coalfuel can now be crafted by combining 1 coaldust with 8 creosote to make 2 hydrated coal. Both plantballs and hydrated coal can be compressed, and surrounded by 8 paper to give a small amount of exp, and the fuel cell. Extract these, can 6 of them into a fuel can, and you now have a filled fuel can (coalfuel burns 3 times longer than biofuel) Mob Drops Can now be crafted in a sort of Resurrection attempt. Gives scrap, exp, and a small chance to make a mob spawn egg (only Zombie, atm) REALLY useful for squeezing exp from mobs, as I've changed them too. TNT has a different recipe now, requiring 2 gunpowder and 1 string to make dynamite. 8 dynamite and 1 sand is needed to make TNT. Gives Exp when crafted, but has a slight chance of exploding when crafted! [sUGGESTIONS] I need ideas for string/wool. Current best is 9 wool for a sponge and exp. Any recipe additions/modifications will be helpful! Gameplay has been drastically altered to make things even more interesting and challenging. Mining has become an extreme hazard, and even venturing out into the desert alone can be very dangerous, even in full armor. Mobs now react differently, hunger has been modified, and creepers just got sneakier. Mob cap has been raised from 70 to 200 Mobs aggression and sight has been tweaked [WIP] Endermen know if "you" are looking at them( general line of sight, instead of only when in the crosshairs More mobs spawn than are killed (extras die off farther away) [WIP] Skeletons range increased to 10 Hunger has been changed, so that you passively lose hunger. Will starve in 3 days without eating anything Hunger depletes twice as fast Eating zombie flesh leaves you with less hunger than you started (you have to eat 5 pieces to gain 1 hunger bar, leaving you at 8 [WIP]Meat and bread cooked properly* will have a chance to double *cooked on a charcoal grill Experience in tekkit has been majorly overlooked, since most people don't care for mobs, but instead sit inside all day, so I added a few key things to make mob hunting that much more rewarding. I had an ingenious idea, that I'm surprised that Minecraft never added, since it just fits in so well with brewing and enchanting. The experienceSince 1.2.5 doesn't have any way to get exp besides killing things, I decided to add a few in, to the best of my ability at the moment. So I added in a few recipes and modified a few, so that you can get little bits of exp that add up after a while. Now, it would really suck if you saved it all up, and you just died, so I made a way to store levels. In a brewing stand, you brew 3 water bottles with a glowstone dust, to get thick potions. You then craft a thick potion with a book, and your levels get absorbed into the potion, giving you a bottle O' Enchanting. Now to get the levels back, you don't smash it against the floor! No, they'll just dissipate into the air. To get the levels, you just craft it back into a bottle [WIP] Make the bottle O Enchanting drinkable Added several Crafting-based enchants: Crafting a sword with blaze powder and magma cream gives fire aspect [WIP] Crafting a chestplate/pants with adv. alloys and carbon plates add protection [*][sUGGESTIONS] Need good item enchants The rest, I havn't decided yet, or Havn't gotten to. Comment any suggestions/criticism here, and I'll surely reply. Any ideas that you may want to use, feel free to borrow. I'd love to hear some feedback about this, and see what people think about it. If you are interested in trying this out for yourself, I'm running a small server. PM me if you're interested in the server files, or anything you might need to do this yourself. Also, I'd love to hear what others are doing to make their server more challenging or fun. Because it's no fun playing in creative. And even when you're having fun in creative, you're not having fun.
  23. *EDIT* Several projects have been completed, and my mods have been recompiled for use. What this means, is that I have control over the crafting recipes, and that means: Creosote can be crafted into H.Coal Experience can be "brewed" Biofuel and coalfuel no longer eat tin Experience for crafting certain recipes Mob drops will (soon) grant exp, somehow... Food returns more when cooked in regular charcoal furnaces More energy fixes Chunkloader migitated (Was throwing odd exceptions) WIP: Craftable spawn eggs! Custom macerator, extractor, and compressor recipes! More sources of Exp Project table fix (Only procs on crafting table, atm) Many more! But seriously, I've been busy. And my birthday is soon!
  24. I should also add that 100% of our progress was made legit, no creative whatsoever. That means an obvious lack of a decorated spawn due to the hazard of venturing out and making one. This is a unique server, where mobs now pose a serious threat to anyone lost in the wild.
  25. Welcome to CactusCraft, since that was the only name that we could agree upon, and the fact that the desert is overgrown by them. This is a small, private server that is looking for a few new residents to make friends on, considering that nearly everyone is in different time-zones. Current members are 16+, and I may prefer to keep it that way. Of course, basic rules apply to this server, no stealing, nuking, spamming, hacking, kicking chickens, breakdancing computers, Flying squids, or anything like that. Griefing is allowed in the smallest forms, but a nuke will most likely be an instant ban. Since this will be a long-time server, only those worthy of joining may join the fun. Several changes have been made to make things more fun. We're hoping that we can get some more players around our age to play and hang out. But enough about the little stuff, let's get onto the details. Core: EE removed' IC and BC Modified Nearly ALL Power generation reduced by a factor of 10 Solar reduced by 16 Mob spawn rates altered for more challenge Several recipes modified/added WIP projects that will alter level requirements, experience from crafting, and enchanting Several other alterations still being worked on atm... Banned items: ALL EE items Nukes are restricted, but not banned Plugins:Creeperheal, RecipeManager, Lockette, Physicalshop RULES: No hacking No stealing (even if they forget to lock their containers) No spamming No Major griefing Nukes CAN be a bannable offense, depending on the situation. PVP is generally frowned upon, unless both parties agree to PVP Uptime should be >95% Server IP: 70.185.124.34 Whitelist Application: IGN: Favorite thing to do in game: Specialty: Why we should accept you into the server: Favorite MLP Character(Bonus Question):
