  1. Fixed: I guess I get to keep my day job of fixing things... once again! (Except this was a generational fault of mine, but still, knock yourselves out... Just not by the overpowered mobs that will kill you in an instant.)
  2. Updates: - ALL MOBS HAVE TEKKIT LOOT! - Mobs now have suits of armor instead of randomized - Mobs slightly easier. - Some mobs have death events. - Now easier to recover after being raided. - Shops installed and ready - Enchants now must be bought through '/buyenchant <name> <level>'
  3. Recent Updates: -Mobs are now Tekkit-based geared and carry Tekkit-based armor loot -No one will know who slayed players in broadcast -Slight tweaks to mineral world. -Newbies can /tpa to friends and members, and members can /tpaccept or /tpadeny Join in the fun! :D

  9. False alarm, only 2 can be active now, no more, and no other player can have one if the server already has 2 shields up already. This is pathetic.
  10. Now we updated to 0.6.1 >.> Not complaining, some good stuff and still quite a fresh map to use everything on. Nukes have been enabled and nerfed down to be about the same blast as TNT.

Indeed there is, 0.5.9 completely ruins it due to someone deciding it was a good idea to use the same item ID's and start a conflict between the mods so bad that to disable just one would result in no player being able to connect due to ID Mismatch errors. (0.5.9 fixes many of the 0.5.7 bugs for the other mods.) 0.5.7 - Can Remove ARS Easily 0.5.8.1 - lolno, might as well use 0.5.9 0.5.9 - ARS is still humping MFFS and will not let go. If it were rebuilt this would be a lovely build with little problems so far on SMP. 0.6.0 - A development build only by means of fixing the pack yourself...but MFFS is fixed, the rest is f#$^!ed. Once the Client and Server matches correctly (although it's easy to just copy over the mod and config folder to sync it up like YOU HAVE TO FOR 0.5.9, there is just too many NEW things that can go wrong.)

Kept the same fresh install config files as a full tekkit lite would have and... Shields work properly...... So wtf Tekkit Lite pack? You're the odd-man-out in all this...FIX IT. I'll be adding mods one by one to see which one actually bugs the shields. Stay posted.
  15. I'm actually thankful you gave that info. It's not much of a start of diagnosing, but it is a an addition none the less. Could you please provide the config for ARS and Forge? (also bukkit if you have the ported mod enabled). If it's not FML, then that's a big write off on the problem. EDIT: Also, just tested fresh server install, fresh tekkit client, different computer/server, all tekkit lite vanilla with no changes: no two shields can be active. Anyone can test this and confirm it will be the same bugged result. Did you change any of the configs or is it just a straight-shot install with the custom pack?   16. So if they appeared fixed for you what is the difference between Tekkit Lite vanilla/MCPC server and the ones that actually work? Are they still tekkit lite? Have they been hotfixed in someway, if so how? What is the cause of them not working properly in multiplayer with more than one shield attempting to be active? Proof of more than one shield working in multiplayer would be nice, until then I stand my ground on this. I'm more than happy to go testing another 4 hours and screenshot every possible configuration of Tekkit Lite and its versions even with versioning from ARS and it's parent branch of IC2 to show the shield problems.

  18. *BUMP FOR MORE VISIBILITY* Running a grief/pvp/raid server is difficult for us as well, the one thing that can stop everything but high-tier methods are shields. I must admit, seeing people build with reinforced stone, basalt, and obsidian do make for pretty good looking bases. Our next maintenance is coming up to update MCPC and see if that fixes it, I doubt it as changelogs address other things. If no fix is available in the near future (0.5.9+) I recommend Advanced Repulsion System be removed from Tekkit Lite entirely as there is no point other than single player or co-op servers. Soon it will join the ranks with Mystcraft on our server of being completely removed via mod deletion just to speed up reboot times by a mere half second. Side note: I enjoy Mystcraft, and as optimization progresses it'll be a finite addition to Tekkit, right now it's too much of a lag headache to run on medium-size servers.
  19. You're not going to find a full anarchy server with NO banned items as many just crush and crash it by deviant people just trying to ruin an admin's day. Shameless advertising (if I could use the spoiler BBCode I would): play.FeedTheBones.com (the one I help administrate) is a raiding/griefing/pvp server. We try not to ban items unless they become a major problem to be used to camp spawn or newbies. Rules often change about every week with the mood of the players and donators. We do run towny to protect against lazy way of griefing and reduce the drama so we can focus on improving stability and fixing bugged items the best we can. Griefing via TNT cannons and frameships are allowed even on admin's bases (not the best way to get on the goodside of an admin.) There are 3 high admins including myself, each have their own base and projects. Whines about being griefed, killed, or raided even in towny are ignored but noted. Failure to protect oneself is not our problem. Mods Banned Entirely: Mystcraft Balkon's mod: (Was used to camp newbies at spawn on multiple occasions, no final decision on this.) EE3 - People were drawing inappropriate things near spawn by changing blocks, as well as bypassing plugins. Shields - They are bugged in SMP (I have a thread about it here on the forums) Partial Bans: Power Suite's Invisible and Plasma Cannon (Camping newbies and destroying spawn, these are not coming back due to abuse.) Nukes: (Obvious reason, we may enable them and lower the radius) TNT: (They are coming back in a few days.) iTNT & Dynamite: Sadly less control which is why we keep TNT enabled instead. Mining Laser: Obvious reasons. Personal Safes: We want the raiders to be rewarded for their efforts against other players. Specials (Only allowed by high playtime players): ComputerCraft AutoCrafting Tables TNT Usage Dupe Bans & Never Coming Back: Pocket Crafter Canvas Bag Self-Chunk-Loaders & Anchors (Way too much abuse with them. Buildcraft quarry is all that is left with the chunk loaders.) Other bugged items that are partially broken and/or scream errors on or lag the server intensely when used (too long to list, but they are very very very uncommonly used.)
  20. EDIT: NOT FIXED IN 0.6.1 FOR SMP! Further testing with other players conclude that this is not fixed in the recent ARS mod that was added in 0.6.1. Only 2 can be active at any given time. Not 3, 4, 5, or any players having 2, just only 2 can be active per entire server. This is just stupid. tl;dr: Now ONLY 2 CAN BE ACTIVE. WTF. Can we please get a fix? The entire ARS suite had to be banned on our server because only one person could have a shield active at one time. We can't trace whether it's an issue with MCPC, Forge, the ARS mod, or Tekkit itself. It works in singleplayer tekkit, but as soon as it's in a SMP environment it goes bonkers; One Shield One Active All Others Be Damned. If anyone has a solution, or better yet the cause of this please say so.
