  1. The OP has been updated with the new IP. Remember to connect with augmentation.hosthorde.com:25901 from now on.
  2. Ok the problem appears to be fixed. Galacticraft's world generator doesn't seem to like flat bedrock from Thermal Expansion so I had to disable it for all worlds. Your world may or may not be salvageable but it's worth trying. The fix will be applied to the server shortly.
  3. I have successfully reproduced this issue and I am working on a fix. At the moment it appears to be a problem within Galacticraft itself, unrelated to the modpack. I'm not sure if your world can be recovered but I will do my best to see that it is. For now, if you create any new worlds, stay away from those two dimensions. I agree with you on this but it's not my decision to make. While pvp isn't all that common on the server, ICBM warfare has actually occurred. Players generally like to play it safe and make nice with each other to insure their hard work isn't destroyed, but at present, there are no rules against pvp and griefing outside of protected regions.
  4. The server has recently been undergoing renovations and is currently back online with an updated version of the modpack and a fresh map! THE SERVER IP HAS CHANGED! Connect with the following address: s46.hosthorde.com:25901 A subdomain version will be added soon. Updates include mod additions and the removal of a few as well, mainly Tropicraft. Overall, the goal of this update was to optimize the pack for best possible frame rate performance. So far users have reported an initial 40% improvement. Also, Optifine is now compatible with the modpack and has as much as doubled framerate for some users. A full list of changes is available on the pack's platform page here: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/tbth.245036
  5. I spoke to the server owner about this today. He said we should have it back up some time today. He was required to generate a new world, and therefore a new spawn needed to be built. Also, players may notice a slightly longer load time with this update due to GregTech scanning for additional ore dictionary entries. I love his mod to death but I wish he wouldn't over complicate things like that. I apologize for the inconvenience. Glad to hear you like the pack by the way! Once the server gets back up I'm sure you'll find the staff very welcoming!
  6. Attention all server players and users of the TBTH modpack! The most recent update (Which was a big one) has solved a lot of issues, but that has come at a price. The new update unfortunately breaks existing worlds because several block and item IDs have been overhauled. I am deeply sorry to anyone who was in the midst of working on something. Keep in mind that this was unforeseen and should not happen again in the future. On the bright side, everyone gets a fresh start, and from what I have heard, the owner plans to given returning players a bonus upon restarting.
  7. Also, remember to post all the bugs/problems you find on the platform page. Issues I can fix mainly pertain to IDs and mod updates. If you find a bug within a specific mod, there's not much I can do about it other than try to update the mod. Fixing actual bugs is the responsibility of the mod authors. Thanks guys! Glad to hear everyone's enjoying the server!
  8. What time zone are you in? Most players seem to get on between 5pm and 9pm central time. Thanks for the bump by the way. :D
  9. Thanks for the reply. User feedback is very important to me considering that even the hours I put in testing the pack aren't enough to weed out every issue with it. If increasing the ram through the technic launcher doesn't work, you can always try using MultiMC or the vanilla launcher to install the pack and run it with specific java parameters. The difference is that the technic launcher allocates permgen space proportionally based on the ram you give it which is not always enough.
  10. I've noticed that a bunch of people have logged on to this server and didn't stay long. If I had to guess, it's because it is VERY new and waiting to be populated. However, if you have any problems with the modpack, make sure to let me know by posting in the discussion section on the pack download page. Also, remember that this pack requires a 64 bit operating system and it is recommended that you allocate at least 2 gigs of ram to the pack (3 is optimal). Otherwise you may experience severe frame rate lag.
  11. I tried that and it doesn't seem to work anymore. The mod doesn't crash your game, it just forces the game to skip loading it altogether.
  12. IC2 Experimental doesn't even come close to GregTech and likely never will. While the mod did recently get slightly more complicated, it still doesn't add nearly the amount of content that GregTech does. Regardless, Greg himself is a regular jerk and it only seems right to deny him the satisfaction of prohibiting the use of his mod with the Technic Launcher. If anyone has a fix for this, it would be greatly appreciated!
