Ysharma, if I might speak frankly, you really should consider changing the whitelist application. While I agree that the length does serve somewhat to discourage random interested players, that's exactly the OPPOSITE of what this community needs right now. Plus it makes the awkward assumption that everyone is in high school. Most importantly, though, you need to remove the now dysfunctional links to the old forums on the OP and specify how to now apply (by replying to this thread (or PM'ing you)), or no-one will be able to join at all.

If any of you all are looking for a decent custom server, you should really check out Technic Battles Redux - you should be able to find their thread here, or on the first page of the custom server listings. The staff is pretty good, the modpack is extensive, and the community has a long history. It's back after being on hiatus for a while, so it's just a bit inactive at the moment. All the massive potential is still there, though - just a few new faces would do wonders, and perhaps rejuvinate both communities.

Well, neither Halo nor Quantum have much of a hold in this new world, giants though they may have been. Existence Enderprises, meanwhile, has just completed the initial phases of its operation. The tides are changing, so you might want to consider that if you are forced to tip your hat one way or another.

They still have you memorize the elements wherever you are? That's just ridiculously harsh.

Now I'm having the same problem. I fell through a suspicious hole from an explosion in my room at the red barracks and can't get back on. I wasn't wearing my jetpack. I'd be grateful if someone could help me out. I also managed to quickly screenshot my inventory for reference and hopefully reimbursement, although I don't know how to upload it here. Also, the hole itself may warrant investigation. I don't know what caused it, but ask hobo or the guerrilla leader (I forget his name atm). I had asked for extra wiring, so it might have been due to an electrical overload.

I'm just saying it would be good to have someone around in case something like this were to arise again, in order for the server to operate more consistently, without being your burden alone and restricted by your personal schedule. I think this sounds like a great server and would hate to see it fade due to inactivity.

I used to love IC2, but now I feel like it actually detracts from the whole Minecraft experience. I'm stuck down in my hole waiting for my machines to finish working so that I can build more machines and wait for THEM to finish, completely isolated from the outside world until, after a few days, I craft OP armor and there's no actual challenge left. Other mods actually encourage risk and exploration. Good luck with all your finals, btw.

So the server is currently un-playable, no matter what we might remove from the current MAC build download?

@Ysharma: Just tell your parents that you're gaining valuable firsthand experience dealing with technical troubleshooting, software compatibility, and customer support. Make it sound like you're actually doing something. Seriously though, take your time. We don't mind waiting. If I might make a suggestion as well, would it help you at all if you removed a bunch of the "peripheral" mods? I haven't looked over the list that thoroughly, but I honestly doubt that anyone would use ThaumicBees or other obscure add-ons on a regular basis, if ever. It just seems like extra work for you to deal with when you're still trying to nail down a stable build. And if anyone does want to use them, they could just request that you add them back in later.

So, in the hopes of summarization, given that I have no idea what information in this thread or on the forums is still current, what's going on with the modpack atm? Is the server up, down, left, right, in, out, being updated or what?
