Which version of Optifine works with the current Big Dig pack? ... someone must know, right?

I'd say that's the best way. I have an incredible uncountable, amount of cobblestone from quarries. Netherrack is a way better bet for magma crucibles though. Much cheaper (power-wise) to supply the engines with that.

As far as I know EU has been removed entirely - everything in the current version uses MJ. You can build a pretty effective setup using magmatic or biofuel engines though. Thankfully those varieties don't inevitably explode like the combustion engines (an apt name).

Sincere thank you for your comment. Can anyone tell the difference between these blocks? One "netherrack" works and the other doesn't. (IDs 87 and 731 - don't ask me why) Anyway, we're back up and running.

This is really starting to bug me, as my entire base is now useless, and I've invested a lot in this plant. I just broke the block and replaced it, to no avail. Here's how it looks when it's got netherrack in it In this screen, all I did was pull out the 'rack and stick in some cobblestone: Wtf.

Yeah, its got a liquiduct on it and an empty internal tank. The cobblestone produces lava normally, which fills into the engines.

I've been generating lava for a bank of magmatic engines, which are powering the crucible and the rest of my machines. I'm feeding with netherrack it via a hopper - making a trip to the nether every so often to refill. It's worked fine for literally hours upon hours, but suddenly stopped consuming the netherrack and stopped producing lava. The magmatic engines still have a reserve in their tanks, and the crucible's power bar is full. When I take out the netherrack and swap it for cobblestone, it burns fine (it even has a higher energy requirement to burn cobble). I didn't make any changes to the power plant before it stopped working. So what am I missing? Is this a bug? I've restarted the server and everything.

I don't understand... It's not as if you can't play it now, or even add it to this Tekkit pack of your own volition.

Is there anything on par with the destruction catalyst still in the mod?

Make it glass by transmuting cobble to sand, shoveling it up and cooking it?

What do you guys do once your quarries are up and running, pumping an ungodly amount of cobblestone (and dirt) into your storage system? Is there a use for this junk that I just can't think of in the new Tekkit? You could use it in a condenser before, doing away with it and converting it to useful material. At this point, I'm dumping it in lava, but it feels wasteful. Any good ideas?
