Thanks. I was missing the furnace step and somehow coming up with the brownstone road (not upgradable).

The TC weapons/tools can be made to auto-repair (slowly) by adding the moss thing. YOu make it with mossy cobblestone in the craft table. Adding a diamond increases the durability of the weapon. I tend to make two of everything and use one while the other regens. Extremely active periods will still result in both being low in durability, but at least you get more use and don't lose them when they break. Carry a work table (only uses one slot in inventory), and repair on the go, if you want.

Chisel+brownstone isn't working as the recipes show in recipe mode. After making the brownstone, then putting it in craft table with chisel, it makes brownstone road (skipping a step). And, the subsequent upgrades won 't work as it shows in recipe mode.

I get iron if I put chain and iron armor in at the same time. I just tested with just one chain piece and got steel. Still haven't figured out what combination makes the alloy. Buggered up my smeltery once, already, trying to figure it out.

When I made it on accident, I had placed materials to make alumite into the hopper over my TC smelter. I forgot that I had a charge going to my drains, so the drains were draining and making ingots before ALL the materials were smelted. Somewhere along the process a few steel bars were made. So, it should be some combination involving two or all of, iron, aluminum, and obsidian. I'll keep fooling around with it. I'm getting iron when I smelt chainmail.

Has anyone figured out the combination to make steel? It can be done without adding other mods. I did it on accident and have spent the past 3 hours trying to duplicate the mixture with no success.

It is possible for someone to not have internet connection on their gaming computer, and be able to post on the forum from their cell phone. Of course, an intelligent person would have thought of that before making him/herself look foolish with the snarky comment. Or what was the other terms used? Dickbaggery? Prepubescent?

This video shows how to build it and also, how to make it automated, to some degree. I can't remember if the person in the video has this part: if you are doing alloys, turn off the circuit first. Allow the metals to melt and mix into the alloy, then turn the circuit back on.

I have bumped into an odd thing with the bookshelf placement. A bookshelf placed 2 blocks horizontally, 1 block up vertically, counts. Placed 2 blocks horizontally, 1 block down vertically, doesn't. Literally same distance, and no obstructions.

I have 36, but my placement may be shoddy. Mine are set up aesthetically, so I'm probably not getting maximum use of them.

More raises the maximum amount of enchantment. I have already tested it. You can use more bookshelves and raise your enchantment level, higher than the level 30 limit (15 bookshelves) in vanilla. My current maximum level enchantment to put on an item is 44.

You will probably need a lot more. If you notice on the left-hand side of the enchanting table interface, you can see your attainable level of enchantments, in your current configuration. Adding more bookshelves, increases this level, beyond the point of the vanilla game. Just remember to make sure the bookshelves are spaced correctly.
