  1. Nope. Pulverising provides higher tier byproducts for common ores (iron - ferrous, copper - gold). Rare ore produce each other: silver - lead. Ferrous produce shiny metal. The only ore producing nothing else if pulverised is gold, but sacrificing other ores for that (mind copper - gold pulverising) isn't worth it. And it makes distribution system more complex.
  2. I'm using RC of Tekkit right now. SPS looks promising but it's bugged yet (some weird things like negative MJ values... or BC pipes to blame... again) and it's kinda illogical to lose Makeshift upgrades every time you move battery. It's just great. Bugged conductive pipes makes my head ache. I'm not asking for anything, i'm grateful for that we already have in Tekkit and all hard work modders done to release new version of Tekkit. But i just have a feeling what BC isn't the best mod for a start with all it's everlasting bugs...
  3. But TE mechanisms are't cheap. It's not starting tool. Same goes for almost everything in Tekkit. A lot of basic stuff is buggy(tnx, BC) or nonexistent(no cheap alternative to PRC, no simple timers? seriously?). And to start working with advanced stuff like LP, AE, biofuel, Galacticaft stuff you need at least basic working sorting system, or it quickly escalate into logistic nightmare, but it's kinda hard to make with only BC stuff. It feels like there is a gaping hole between the most basic stuff and "high-end" stuff.
  4. Ok, now i'm trying out LP and having troubles. I'm trying out simple sorting system for a quarry, parts of it yet. I have DSU with cobblestone, Basic Log. Pipe (BLP) leading to it, Provider pipe, to suck items out, Pulverizer with supplier pipe at the top, and Provider pipe, sucking sand and gravel out into another DSUs. I have only one valid route for sand - BLP - DSU, and 2 routes for cobblestone - med. priority - BLP - DSU, high - supplier pipe for Pulverizer. I have some more BLPs, for future use, but all of them are for different blocks(configured). Problem is some blocks of sand and cobblestone just randomly wander in pipe system, passing near BLPs and not going straight into correct one without ANY logic in movements. Why's that?
  5. Tnx. This is 3-rd LP tutorial i'm reading. Looks solid. I hope at least this one is useful. And this is my main problem: Logistics pipes normally do not check whether or not an adjacent inventory is full. Therefore, if the inventory is full, it will remain a valid destination. Any items directed to the pipe will be ejected behind the block with the inventory, and despawn in 5 minutes if not picked up.
  6. Since this is noob questions thread i post a question: What is the best way to feed a large pile of different resources (from quarry) to TE machines using Logistic pipes? Is it possible to create network, where resources are only send if there is a free machine available, without loops?
  7. Yes, i'm using this right now(with insertion pipes), but i just don't like items being constantly in BC pipes because it was always buggy, cause lag and sometimes items pop out randomly anyway.
  8. AE and Logistics Pipes are for end-game, when player have have a steady flow of items and energy. And what about simple things like auto feeding a row of steam engines? Without simple timers and horrible overflow management of basic Buildcraft pipes it's just a mess. I just can't find any reasonable way besides using insertion transport pipes and allowing coal to constantly circulating in pipes.
  9. There is a bug with Makeshift Battery. I had i simple design where were 2 Tier 3 Makeshift Batteries connected in a row, one getting power from steam engines via golden conductive pipe from 2 sides and second transmitting MJ to machines. And sometimes MJ storage showed negative MJ value, loosing all stored energy. Another time, both Batteries was stuck at somewhere around 14653 MJ(of 80k) not able to store more. After i replaced them, it works as intended, but replacing consume Makeshift Upgrades. Side questions: 1) It's only me or Diamond ore is almost nonexistent in normal world? And i have troubles finding enough golden ore too... 2) What about Uraninite ore? It's not spawning too. What i must do to generate it? Change Atomic Science config? 3) Without RP, the only way to create something like timer is to use PRC?
