Record time. Try waiting for the mod to completely load. If it still says Loading... Under the pack then it's not ready to launch. Read a book, make some coffee, whatever.

Try hitting the gear box at the top right corner and checking increase Permgen size and add another Gb of ram.

Delete Technic Folder Relaunch, hit the gearbox in the top right. Select Use Beta Builds, Increase Ram to 2 Gb, Check Increase PermGen Size. The it'll prompt you to restart the launcher. After it relaunches wait for all the packs to finish loading. Then launch Hexxit

I think he's talking about the long list of mods it says are missing during loading. Like: Twilight Forest Is Missing Industrial Craft Is Missing Greg Tech is Missing Etc It's normal. Don't worry about it.

He's probably using Intel HD Graphics. You should get around 20-30 fps on the lowest settings though. Still terrible but better then what you say. Are you using a texture pack?

If Terminal is anything like CMD you'll need to create a sh file to launch Technic Launcher. The changes won't stick.

Ic2 is a lot more feature extensive. What many mods do now IC2 did and more. It's still not fully replaced in the new Tekkit. It's rather complex to set up and it would be impossible to make a pack for it on Technic Platform.
