I initially used the Painterly Pack, which I found fascinating until it suddenly fell into pieces. Then I stopped fiddling with mods altogether until, a month or two ago, I found Technic to be interesting looking and figured I'd give it a shot.

He disabled that code. Granted, there's not exactly a whole lot keeping him from flipping it back on, but at the moment, he's content to allow Technic players to install the mod. Assuming no further drama has happened since I stopped paying attention.

Might I recommend Spellcraft: Aspects of Valor? I've found it to be an interesting game, although I haven't played it in a long while... I believe you can find it on Abandonia, if nowhere else.
